The witness was driving west before dawn when a dark, hairy biped crossed the road in front of the vehicle. The figure crossed from left to right in a few strides and disappeared over the roadside bank. After stopping and backing up to the spot, the witness reported a musty smell, faint brush movement, and a feeling of being watched before driving away.

At about 3 a.m. the witness saw a tall hair-covered biped standing beyond the pens, which walked a short distance, stopped, then left into surrounding woods. The witness woke a relative who also saw the animal though less clearly, while the kennel dogs remained silent in their houses.

When the witness stood up the figure turned to face him, then ran back to the west and disappeared quickly and quietly. The witness left the area and later decided not to hunt there again.

The witness and figure observed each other while the dog wanted to go inside and a strong foul smell was present. After briefly looking away at a noise, the witness went inside for a handgun, and on returning the figure was gone though sounds remained in the woods. A large footprint was found the next day.

The crossing lasted about three seconds and the companion was certain it was on two legs. The companion became frightened and urged them to keep driving as fast as possible.

The youths rushed inside the residence and locked the door, remaining upset through the night.

Two coworkers were pumping feed into silos on a turkey farm after midnight. One smelled an unfamiliar odor and shone a spotlight, spotting an animal behind a barn picking objects from the ground and blocking the light with its hand. He alerted his coworker, who also shone his light, saw the large creature walking toward him, then retreated to the front of the farm.

The witness did not stop, returned to camp, loaded the horse which was uneasy, and left for home.
