After noticing strange tracks and a depression in fresh snow, the witness's headlight illuminated a figure about 10 to 12 feet ahead running away. The animal moved very fast on two legs using its long arms, with one arm described as rotating fully over its head, then disappeared down the grade on the far side. He and others aboard saw a piercing green light brighten and burst to white, revealing a woman in white holding an old lantern, then illuminating the bay before vanishing when they motored in with lights.
