The witness was driving northbound on a highway at night with a companion when the companion noticed a large hair-covered figure standing up from a crouch beside the road. The witness looked over and saw the figure standing very close to the vehicle for about three seconds as they passed. They returned to the location shortly afterward but saw nothing and then contacted emergency dispatch.

A couple driving toward Sacramento on Highway 50 at night saw a tall hairy figure standing in a pullout on the north side of the road. The figure was illuminated by high beams from about 20 to 30 feet away and appeared to be watching traffic. The viewing lasted only a few seconds at highway speed, and both occupants described a very large, thick, dark brown to black figure.

The creature was first seen sitting with its back to him, then stood and faced him from about 25 yards away. After regarding him briefly it walked away into deeper woods. Driving home on Auburn Drive in Fairbanks in July 2009 around 6 p.m., the witness noticed a figure standing by the roadside about 100 yards ahead. As the witness closed to about 50 yards the figure bolted into the woods toward the elementary school, ran away from the road then turned to run parallel to it before disappearing. The witness stopped at the entry point, later circled via side roads to the school parking lot to look into the woods, but did not see it again.

The witness was walking through a field to a friend's house late at night when they noticed a dark figure standing at the edge of pines. After watching briefly, the figure turned toward the witness, screamed for an extended period, and ran on two legs into the woods with visible arm swing while crashing through brush. The creature then turned its torso and legs separately and went up an 8-foot vertical road bank in one motion, crashing through timber out of sight.

After passing it, he reversed and saw it beside the road bending down a small pine branch to peer at him for a few seconds. The husband reportedly saw it cross the road and head downhill toward the river, while the wife shortly after saw it cross back and climb uphill. They reunited, compared notes, and later found sign where an animal had passed. Both concluded they had seen the same Bigfoot-like animal.

The witness was hunting and shot a duck that fell near a pond. While searching for the duck, a large furred animal burst from cover and ran on its hind legs. The witness fled and the dog chased the animal, with the dog returning later miles away and only the duck's wings found.
