The pair kept their distance and walked out to the road, feeling the animal was agitated and territorial and did not follow them.

While stopped at a truck brake-check pull-off, the witness saw what looked like a boulder on a ridge stand up. He and another driver viewed it through binoculars as a large gorilla-like figure with broad shoulders and long arms. A third driver arrived as it turned and went down the other side of the ridge.

On exiting the tent the group saw a hair-covered upright creature at close range, which the witness chased briefly as it moved on its knuckles to avoid his light.

They noticed a strong odor and then saw a small black hairy figure sitting on the opposite bank throwing rocks into the water. After a rock strike and foul odor, they entered the woods at dark and saw a large hairy upright creature showing teeth while others vocalized around them. They fired weapons while retreating to snowmobiles, the cousin ran for the truck, and the witness held position firing for an extended period before they escaped in the truck. The cousin later found the abandoned snowmobiles torn apart.

The witness lived for two to three months in a rock overhang above a canyon stream, fishing with traps and hunting small game. A large hairy creature repeatedly raided his fish traps, exchanged rock throws, accepted camp bread, used a larger trap left for it and took deer remains. After an ice storm the witness developed severe pneumonia with high fever and could not tend his fire. He reported the creature looking in on him, leaving meat, a headless rabbit and herbs he boiled, then carrying him down the canyon over hours or days until a couple in a converted school bus found him and got him to a hospital.

The witness spent a few days watching from a hill while the wind kept his scent away. He watched adult females keep young in trees, lay with babies, coo, pet them and release a sweet spiced-honey-like scent. When a distant holler sounded the group got up and moved away.

Over many years the Baker Unit of an old prison was reported haunted by the spirit of an inmate thrown from the fourth tier to his death. Inmates repeatedly woke to see a figure staring at them from their bunk and officers saw logbooks and other desk items slide off without visible cause on camera. The guest personally calmed a screaming inmate who reported the figure and later with a partner heard and saw on camera a heavy secured staircase gate slam shut with no one present.

While hiking alone about 12 miles out on a remote forested trail, the guest smelled a powerful foul odor, heard subtle branch breaks, and noticed total silence. He saw a tall hairy upper body with one arm peeking from behind a large tree, which then withdrew and vanished. About 100 feet farther the figure stepped fully onto the trail, stood looking at him, then turned back into the woods where the guest later found a small purple beaded bracelet placed on a sapling.

The guest was driving west on Highway 2 toward work on the graveyard shift at about 50 miles per hour with several vehicles behind him. He watched a very tall figure step out of riverside vegetation and cross the highway in about three steps without looking at traffic. It passed behind a tiny roadside chapel where its torso was visible above the roof, then continued through a cornfield toward a distant tree line while nearby drivers pulled over or swerved.

As a teenager on the pier at night with a buddy and many others, the witness saw a lighted underwater object come up just under the pier a few feet below the surface. It stayed briefly then moved away. The witness was certain it was not a boat.
