A group of six scouts hiking toward a third lake on a midday break claimed an encounter with a biped. Three of the group saw a tall, broad, brownish-haired biped cross the trail from left to right about 75 feet ahead in one to two seconds. The three were shaken and described the same appearance to the other three, who had been engaged in sign conversation and had not seen it. The group approached the crossing site by a small meadow but found nothing further.

The witness and a companion were descending from a mountain summit in the afternoon when the witness noticed a dark humanlike figure standing in the pass above them. Both watched as the figure waved its very long arms up and down over its head in a way they felt was threatening. Clouds then covered the pass, and the two continued down to the trailhead.

After a brief staredown the figure turned and walked unhurried into the forest with heavy breaking-branch footsteps, and the next day large footprints were found leading away across a creek.

After hearing a crushing and rustling noise, the witness saw a tall black bipedal being about twenty yards away that looked at the witness and raised its arms. At a youth camp at night, the witness was inside a dorm getting ready for bed when campers in another dorm shouted about someone outside. Minutes later the witness watched a figure near a dumpster walk toward the dorm and peer in through a window from about 12 feet away for 20 to 30 seconds before disappearing. The next morning a discarded box was found on the ground with large footprints nearby.

The witness reports lasting fear of being alone in woods since the incident.

A truck driver was sitting in his truck at night on the outskirts of a swamp during an oil loading operation. He reported a strong gamey smell and, after turning on the headlights, saw a large ape-like creature with red eyes staring at him. He panicked and drove away with the loading hose still attached, spilling oil, and afterward refused to do night loads.

While panning for gold along a border river, one man bent to wash his hair and felt he was being watched with hostile intent. Across the river his cousin waved frantically, later saying a huge black animal the size of a buffalo had crept down the steep hill behind him. The animal froze when looked at, then slowly retreated uphill after noticing the second person.

While playing with his dog in the yard in spring, the witness fell backward and saw a large cinnamon-brown human-like creature watching from the wood line about 25 feet away. The dog fled silently, the creature looked curious rather than threatening, then turned and walked into the woods.

The witness and family members saw a large silent saucer-shaped craft with lights hovering over a valley behind their rural home. Neighbors joined them on the veranda until about 15 to 20 people were watching. The craft rose and vanished instantly.

The witness was seated in a high tree stand on family hunting land on the opening day of deer season. Two large hairy creatures ambushed deer on a game trail, killing two does instantly by breaking their necks. The larger creature then approached the stand, smelled the witness, looked up and vocalized loudly while touching the stand and holding a deer, then both left silently into the woods. The witness was left in shock and had to be carried back to the cabin by his father.
