Footsteps in Utah (2022)
While lying silent, the witness heard very loud heavy footsteps stopping beside the bedroom window followed by deep huffing and grunting with massive air intake. The presence moved behind the trailer and shook a protective window panel as if trying to open it. At daylight the witness fled with cat and rifle without looking up, while the landlord revved a motorcycle and checked behind the trailer.

During a dark hard rain the witness heard a loud hammer-like knocking from the sitting rock behind the trailer that accelerated into rapid rock-on-rock impacts continuing about 45 minutes. The witness concluded no human could sustain that speed and duration. A strange metallic gate-like sound and distant talking and whistles had also become a recurring precursor.

The witness woke in the middle of the night to a loud bang against the trailer and later heard slow rhythmic footsteps and additional bangs until sunrise. Camera clips recorded the impact sounds. The next day the witness found fresh damage, a large muddy handprint on the awning arm, and a deep heel print that split the doormat.

A group of five relatives on an elk-hunting trip waited on a log near a meadow at dusk. They heard paired loud wood-on-wood knocks coming from two different directions that seemed to respond to each other and to the witness's own knocking. After reuniting, the group continued to hear knocks, including a single closer knock behind them and sounds of movement behind them.
Sound report from the High Uintas
The witness and a relative were camping overnight near a lake in the mountains when loud echoing screams woke them around 2 a.m. The witness managed to record the last two of several screams using a parabolic microphone and tape recorder. Nearby dogs reacted unusually, other campers also heard the sounds, and tree limbs were heard breaking about half an hour later.
Possible camp stalking at Betsy Lake, Grandaddy Basin, Uinta Mountains
The witness was camping with relatives by a lake and sleeping in a tent. Around 2-3 a.m. the witness was awakened by heavy footsteps outside, something touching the tent, and sounds from the lake. The witness shouted and went outside, after which two unseen presences reportedly ran past the tents and left. A relative in another tent also heard them run past.
Sighting by Grouse Hunters
The witness and a companion were hiking in upland terrain when they separated on opposite sides of a draw. The witness heard a loud crash and rapid thudding sounds, then saw a tall hairy figure running toward the companion from several hundred yards away. After shouting warnings and a shotgun shot, the figure reversed direction and left, and both hikers departed quickly.

A couple of weeks after the camping trip the witness returned to the same general area with his brother to scout for hunting. While sitting near a small lake they repeatedly heard sounds of rocks or boulders being moved nearby every few minutes. They did not investigate and left without seeing what made the noise.
