Shortly after returning from boot camp, the witness took a dog for a daytime run on trails. A large wolf-like animal blocked the trail and stared, while the dog looked into the woods. Loud breaking of trees and branches in parallel scared the wolf off instantly, and the witness ran back home.
Sasquatch sighting in Oregon
The witness was living alone in a trailer while clearing land for a cabin. Over several nights loud banging on a metal trailer woke him, culminating in screams that drew him toward a large excavation. He confronted two tall hairy figures and a smaller one trapped in the pit, with another large figure flanking him. After a tense standoff the group retrieved the small one and withdrew to the treeline, and the witness left the property at sunrise.
Odor
After his vehicle became stuck in snow on a high peak in February, the witness hiked miles at night to get cell reception and arrange a rescue. During the hike he found a freshly torn small coyote skull with no tracks, smelled skunk that vanished, and heard sounds like large trucks with no roads nearby. Weeks later his lost emergency locator showed movement and an SOS, and searches found a branch nest with a large X nearby and a trail camera that later disappeared.
Sasquatch sighting
Two team members on an upper trail heard sounds behind them and then loud whacks after stopping to drink, and fled to meet the others. Review of their running video was said to show a female carrying an infant with a juvenile nearby, each holding sticks, and a separate pale dog-like figure standing off the trail.
Unidentified sound
While sleeping in the basement with his small dog, the guest woke to find the dog trembling on his head. He then heard a sound at the window, saw a shadow block the light, and heard three loud thumps outside, after which it was gone.
Movement only near Big Bay, Michigan
The witness and his wife were camping at their remote property and sitting by a campfire after sunset when a low white light approached, passed nearly overhead, and continued behind the trees. A few minutes later they heard yipping that rose and dropped into overlapping grunting, screams and yells from about half a mile away, followed by total silence. The witness said he had camped there for decades and never heard anything like it, and later felt a recording from another Michigan case sounded nearly identical.
Paranormal encounter
About two weeks after the bedside entity, the witness was again alone in bed when he heard his loud-clicking door open. A very tall shadow outline wearing a wide-brim hat stood in the doorway. His vision went dark, then the door was shut and the figure was gone.
Unidentified sound in Utah
A couple of weeks after the camping trip the witness returned to the same general area with his brother to scout for hunting. While sitting near a small lake they repeatedly heard sounds of rocks or boulders being moved nearby every few minutes. They did not investigate and left without seeing what made the noise.
Rock throwing in Arkansas
On a multi-day float with three companions, the witness camped 200 feet away downriver. At night he heard rocks landing in the river and then on the bank, which stopped when companions turned off music. Later he heard prolonged loud splashing like playing in the water across the river but could see nothing.
Scream near Terrace, British Columbia
The witness and a relative were fishing on a river beach when loud screams began in the forest behind them. Branches snapped and full-size trees were seen shaking for about three hours. They laid caught fish around them, then left quickly with the fish when the sounds stopped.
Unidentified sound
While walking with a group, the party heard a brief breath-like sound and a companion doubled over in pain and fell to his knees. He was briefly unable to get up and then appeared woozy, which the teller attributes to infrasound.
Wood knock in Washington
The witness camped near Bumping Lake with his wife and did periodic rock clacks. They heard a single limb snap reply in the evening. His overnight recorder captured clacks, and the next morning he heard five rapid clacks from the recorder direction mimicking his five rapid clacks from the night before.
Tree break in Massachusetts
As a child the witness was scouting deer sign with his father when the family dog ran ahead and began yipping. They heard branches breaking and the dog go silent, and the father drew his sidearm and backed out with the child. The next day they returned with another officer and found the dead dog under cover near the father's tree stand, and the father said a huge Sasquatch-like beast was responsible.

The witness heard strange whistling and sniffing noises while hunting after returning to the area.
Door or window contact in California
While camped with volunteers for an archaeology project in California, the witness heard something approach her tent at night and felt it touch the tent from top to bottom. She got out to look but found nothing. After re-entering, she heard a bang by her head, concluded it had been in a tree, then heard it walk away over granite.

The witness reports hearing unspecified sounds in the woods at other times but attributes them to normal animals.
Vocalization near Warren, Connecticut
The witness was solo hammock camping when he heard a duck or goose mauled with splashing, then movement around him in the dark. A loud grunt from up high that felt like it went through him frightened him. He packed up and left the woods that night.

The witness with two companions walked the creek the next day when a relative shouted at something going over a steep hill, with trees seen bending and two marks later found on the bank.
Vocalization in Florida
The evening after hunting, the witness and the cousin walked toward the truck at dusk and felt surrounded by unseen sources making varied bird and owl-like animal noises all around them. The sounds followed until near the truck then stopped. The witness suggested poachers while the cousin insisted it was not poachers.
Tracks near Easton, Washington
A group camped in a mostly dry creek bed high in the mountains. Around five in the morning the witness and another camper awoke to rock clacking in the creek. They later found prints described as clearly non-human in proportion and stacked rocks, with photos said to exist.
