The witness was six and sharing a room with his brother when they heard a loud bang and grunt outside. They did not look out until later in the day. Outside they found huge bare footprints in the snow and a deep dent caved into the frozen above-ground pool, which his father dismissed.

After an exhausting day-long hike into camp, the group had just set down packs to rest when a loud clear cowbell-like clang was heard about fifty yards to the west. Minutes later the same metallic sound was heard from the east at similar distance. No cows, tracks or other explanation were found, leading the witnesses to attribute the sounds to mimicry.
Wood knock
One morning at camp the group heard knocking sounds resembling woodpeckers coming from three directions around them in sequence. The pattern matched an Irish drum beat the witness had played earlier. The witnesses concluded the sounds were not actual woodpeckers but mimicry triangulated around camp.

The guest and a companion sat out around 2 a.m. and heard a faint rhythmic beating like an Indigenous drum with chant-like vocal sounds. It recurred three or four times within about an hour. The guest later found the sounds on his recorder tied in a tree.

A large unseen presence to his left breathed deeply, walked through vegetation rather than around it, and paced him, stopping and moving with him. He broke his pole, was struck by a whipped branch, reached the road, ran to camp, and later saw brushed-down vegetation where he emerged.

While hunting with a companion, the host heard what sounded like a horse running directly between them. Both looked but nothing was visible. He could not explain it except possibly as strangely bouncing sound.

The witness and friends were invited to a house for what was described as a prayer ceremony for family turmoil. In a window-sealed dark room a bound medicine man lay on a blanket with offerings while drumming, singing, shakers, flapping like a bird, a small green light, eating sounds, and a scream or children playing were heard. When lights returned the blanket was strewn, food was missing, and the man was unbound, and hours had passed unnoticed.
