Two people camping on family land went into a nearby apple orchard late at night to collect firewood. After hearing a distant screeching sound and then a loud scream, they saw a short, heavy creature about 50 yards away that charged toward them. They ran back to a clearing where the pursuit stopped, then put out their campfire and left for the night.

Three hunters spread out in a draw heard a prolonged moaning-howling sound likened to a weak yell for help, with two of them also hearing a loud pop nearby. They traced the sound to a barbed-wire fence with freshly broken wire and torn-up ground but found no identifiable tracks. Returning to the same area the next morning, they found a large footprint in a cow patty which they linked to the previous day's sounds.

A reddish-brown creature came fast through the woods to the right, heading toward the witness, then turned toward the river before reaching the road. The witness saw it from the side from the shoulders down at about 25 to 30 feet and estimated it was at least seven feet tall. After a moment of shock, the witness headed back home.

The witness and a companion were camping in a tent when they were awakened in the very early morning by prolonged loud screams, followed by heavy footsteps, sniffing and heavy breathing just outside the tent. In the morning they found scattered pine needles and dirt but no blood or fur, and large deep human-like footprints leading away into a wooded ravine, which the witness followed briefly before packing up and leaving.
