After moving into a camper at her parents' property, the witness reports ongoing activity including something running off and shaking the ground, a dark figure moving in a cedar tree with bent branches, bare spots in grass facing the house, and the camper being rocked and pushed. Two weeks ago a face appeared in the camper window with a handprint left on another window, and this week a high oak limb was found snapped.

While moose hunting alone, the witness walked a game trail from a gravel pit toward a lake and found a large stacked-tree structure blocking the trail. He climbed it and looked into a dark square hole on top, saw a dark hairy face looking up and grinning at him, then jumped down, grabbed his rifle and ran to his truck while hearing deep vocalizations and trees snapping.

Years later the same witness and his second wife heard brush rustling and a grunt while float-tube fishing, then at a nearby roadside campsite found very deep large footprints on both sides of the road and a small fir with its top broken and twisted.

The witness came back on September fourth for a week with trail cameras and night vision to document tracks. Midweek a rock was thrown down toward him on a trail and later something snapped a large branch and moved stealthily in a thicket with a wet animal odor. Late one night something whistled shrilly three times from inside camp across his fire, and next morning he found a fresh track by his tailgate; a friend joined for the last two days and they found more tracks and unrecognized scat.

The witness returned in mid-July to a small camp near a meadow and dry creek for three nights. On successive evenings he heard loud screams and bark-like yells from above the meadow followed by crashing, limb-breaking, and pebbles scattering, and on the third evening something paralleled him on a slope, breaking branches and dropping rocks while vocalizing. He slept in the cab of his truck in fear and found a fresh fifteen-inch track and a muddy footprint with toes near a spring pipe.

On the first year's expedition to the Iowa area with one other researcher, the group had a tree pushed over in front of camp. They recorded tree knocks and the host recorded a zipper noise at 3 am on the last night.

The witness was alone in a small county park when she heard a loud knock like a bat hitting a tree, then an answering knock from the other side of the trail. Later on the same walk she found disturbed snow and dirt where something appeared to have pressed toes into an embankment, which she cast and found to have five toes. The witness and his son were scouting unfamiliar hunting land for sign. They noticed a freshly snapped hardwood and then a rock sailed over cedars and landed twelve to fifteen yards away with no people around. They backed down the hill facing the area and left to discuss it.

It stayed at the treeline and later circled the house screaming half the night for a couple weeks. After moving to his mother's house, it was heard screaming under her front windows.

One night the witness and a friend hid under a flatbed truck to catch the nighttime visitors. They saw silhouettes of several figures standing by a tractor trailer. When they jumped out and racked shotguns, the figures fled extremely fast down through a gully full of storm debris, breaking limbs.
