In mid-August 1985, the witness had just returned inside after kenneling two large dogs when the dogs began barking intensely. From a kitchen window she watched a large reddish-brown hairy biped run toward a creek for about 30 seconds before it jumped from a drop-off into the creek and headed into the ravine. Later that day she found skid-like slip marks and toe impressions on the trail where it had run.

Across the river in bright moonlight the witness saw a large bipedal creature shaking a big pine tree, then running in an arc into the woods. The creature walked into the bush and snapped a large branch, the witness fled down to the crusher, drove to town, and later returned with his friend to find a torn branch and large spaced steps leading to a ledge.

Four teenagers walking north from a family hunting camp stopped on a steep two-track when they saw a tall, broad, dark figure standing in the middle of the road at the hilltop staring at them. After watching for about one to two minutes, they turned and ran back to camp without seeing what it did. Poorly defined pushed-in depressions were later noticed in soft gravel and sand in the general area.

Two people coasting downhill on a motor scooter stopped at a clearcut to look at the view on a clear afternoon. They saw a large brown biped rise from the grass about 100 yards away and walk along the treeline, glancing at them before stepping up a bank into the forest. After waiting about 15 minutes they inspected the area and found a matted grass circle and large footprints leading away.

As children, the witness and a sibling companion went to play on a creek that had partly thawed and then refrozen hard overnight. They found a line of barefoot-like prints with distinct toes crossing the ice for about twenty feet and continuing up a steep bank. No other prints were present, and the witness judged a human origin unlikely because of the remote location and freezing weather.

While hiking through woods after crossing a posted fence, the couple found a large matted grass area, a broken tree top, and very large wide bare footprints in mud with no shoe prints. They also heard an owl and woodpecker sounds in daytime and a horrible smell, then felt uncomfortable and left quickly to a highway.

From boulders he glassed about eight hairy bipeds with young, watching them for about half an hour as some appeared to hide at a choke point while others circled. He concluded they were hunting deer and left with his companion before dark.

In summer 1983 a camp leader took an assistant and nine boys on an overnight hike on Tet Ridge. During the afternoon hike they repeatedly glimpsed a large black figure at a distance and found very large tracks and broken branches high above the ground. That night at a near-summit camp the group heard multiple loud roars and stayed awake by the fire, also hearing movement below. They found no further sign on the hike out and agreed not to tell others.
