Scream near Moab, Utah (2022)
The witness and a companion hiked several miles into the La Sal Mountains to camp and hunt deer. During daytime glassing a large aspen snapped and fell near them on a calm day. That night around 2 a.m. a loud multi-pitched scream sounded from a hillside for about two hours while something circled their tent close enough to hear breathing. They found no tracks in the morning and later moved camp.

After hearing a prolonged scream like a woman dying in the distance, the witness checked the outward-facing camera and saw a large figure on the garage roof reaching down with an arm. When infrared light hit it, the figure quickly lifted its arm and head to stare at the camera, showing a broad mouth, lips, nose and eyes. The witness stopped watching and felt shaken.

The witness reports hearing very loud recurring screams and hoot-like sounds coming from canyons near a relative's home in northern Utah over several years, first paying attention to them while camping overnight with a young relative. The sounds are described as fierce, deep, growling and primate-like with a low-frequency component, with calls lasting up to about 15 seconds in series of five or six, sometimes followed by whoops, heard at dusk or night from a mile or so away. Other family members are reported to have heard the same vocalizations over about ten years. The witness, described as a hunter familiar with native animal sounds, found alleged bigfoot recordings similar but not exactly the same.

The witness and a relative were camping overnight near a lake in the mountains when loud echoing screams woke them around 2 a.m. The witness managed to record the last two of several screams using a parabolic microphone and tape recorder. Nearby dogs reacted unusually, other campers also heard the sounds, and tree limbs were heard breaking about half an hour later.

The sounds were followed by a human-like screaming cry that sent several children running to a nearby cabin. The witness, described as an avid hunter, said the cry matched no known local animal and thought a human prank was possible but unlikely.

They heard an extremely loud penetrating scream lasting about 10 seconds at a time and repeating for about two minutes. They did not see the source and did not pursue it, but later felt it matched a recording known as the Ohio scream.

Over several nights a loud screaming vocalization was heard around 9 p.m. and the uncles repeatedly chased the source uphill. One uncle confronted a very tall hair-covered biped at close range and fired over its head, while later nights brought a spotlight glimpse of a large dark mass, a small 4-foot figure, answering calls from another ridge, uprooted trees and reddish hair tufts, before the activity moved away.

A family group of six was inside a large tent at night during a thunderstorm when they smelled an overpowering odor and heard loud screaming approach. A large hairy figure stood over the tent, visible in lightning flashes, screaming for several minutes while the occupants huddled in fear. An adult companion left the tent, apparently confronted the creature amid scuffling and growling, then returned pale and blocked the zipper until dawn when the group left.

Something hit the trailer wall and rattled the locked door while the voice continued, then walked away through the woods. Older campers nearby separately reported someone pulling on their tent that night.
