They found something hunkered by the bales, shone a small light on it, and it stood up very tall and screamed. The branch broke and the creature fell about 12 to 15 feet, landing with barely bent legs before walking toward them. The children fled to the trailer, and two hid in an old freezer chest where the creature huffed at them through the lid before walking away.

The witness heard a baby-like crying sound near his property, then about ten minutes later a very loud, long, deep roar from a mountain about half a mile away. Shortly after, an answering roar came from the top of his own mountain behind him. The two roars went back and forth, shaking his RV, and he went inside with his dog.
