A squad leader on a midnight blocking position saw a dark canine-like creature in a crouch about 20 meters away making low growls. When he lowered night vision the creature ran fast at a low stance while others heard crashing. Later soldiers reported wet-dog odor and loud guttural sounds after coyotes fell silent.
Rock throwing near Granbury, Texas
Sitting atop stored freight cars at night the witness and his friend threw rocks into the woods and heard one hit flesh with a deep thud. Rocks were then thrown back at them, sparking on the rails and clanging on the metal cars.
