Two brothers camping by a river had a rock twice the size of a softball land by their fire where no such rocks occur. Their large dogs growled and clung to them and would not chase. As they walked to the house, they heard something walking in brush alongside them, stopping when they stopped, across a railroad track and fields to the yard light.

The witness and four companions were riding ATVs at night when they heard a single loud branch snap followed by dead silence. After moving to a clearing, a large log and then a limestone slab were thrown from an uphill wooded area toward a companion's ATV, barely missing the rider. Loud thumps and breaking branches suggesting something heavy running downhill followed, and the group started their vehicles and left quickly.
