Two teenagers camped on a mountain logging road were harassed by thrown sticks, loud grunting and tree-banging sounds, and a strong foul odor. When they shone a light into the woods about 25 yards away, they saw a very tall fur-covered figure that ducked behind a tree. They put out their fire and fled down the trail, saying the figure followed them most of the way back.

The guest, age 14, moved with his parents into a rented house outside Decatur in 1984. Over months in his large bedroom he experienced a picture and nail falling, drawer opening, clock resetting, lamp failing, scratching on the headboard, blanket pulled off and yanked across the room, feeling of someone sitting on the bed, warm spots, phone chirping even unplugged, breath blown in his ear, and being bounced on his bed off its frame. After moving his bed to the other window and clearing the original wall, activity subsided.

At age twelve on a family road trip, the witness stepped half-asleep out of the truck camper after midnight to relieve himself. A large dark figure sat on its haunches on the path to the river about twenty to thirty feet away, backlit by the moon. After a frozen stare the witness shut the door, heard distinct bipedal footsteps, then a fist-sized rock and a freshly ripped branch struck the camper.

The witness, then a teenager, led four companions single-file through dark woods at night to take lumber from a house under construction. The group heard a noise ahead, then saw a very tall upright figure with red eyeshine in the weak flashlight beam. After companions threw objects at it and a deep growl was heard, the group fled to nearby outbuildings and later to a house for help.
Rock throwing near Osage Beach, Missouri (1982)
The guest and friends stayed midweek at a remote cabin near Osage Beach in August. At night the group had wood chunks and pebbles thrown at them and heard loud whooping, and companions heard splashing while night fishing. The next morning companions reported a hairy bear-like figure by fish guts, the woodpile was toppled, and a beaver dam was found destroyed with a pulled-apart carcass. While squirrel hunting along the creek the guest and his companion watched a five-foot ape-like creature wading and looking in the water, which approached his companion then left after clicking sounds were exchanged with another unseen individual.

The witness was left to walk up a long steep driveway at night after others drove ahead and heard heavy steps matching her own. Near a lit barn she saw a very tall shadow, ran, and felt it breathing over her head. Her dog intervened and was picked up and thrown over a pool, suffering severe tearing, and hairs not belonging to the dog were later found in its mouth.

The witness and two companions were exploring a swampy wooded area when they found a large steel cage trap baited with fresh meat. After noticing a foul musty odor, they heard a very loud roar from behind them and fled as a large log flew over their heads. They ran home to tell the witness's mother and stayed out of those woods for a long time.

The witness lived on wooded acreage in the early 1980s and reported ongoing strange activity over several years. He described finding a pole teepee structure and twisted saplings, hearing distant whistle-like sounds and whistling on the hill, seeing red and green eyeshine at night, pursuing unseen footsteps in snow without finding tracks, and having rocks and wood thrown. He stated he never had a clear sighting but concluded an intelligent, elusive presence lived nearby.

Years later while working in law enforcement, the witness drove to a remote trailhead to pick up a fire-watcher ranger during a dry fall with active forest fires. Concerned when the ranger did not appear after dark, he walked up the trail with a flashlight and rifle and found the ranger hiding by a rock. Together they watched a tall, long-armed figure with large reflective eyes at the far edge of a clearing for an extended period before it crouched, raked grass, backed into the woods, and circled away crashing through brush. The ranger later said he had already encountered the same figure on the trail, where it screamed at him, caused him to drop his kit, and threw his bag, which was never recovered.

A family living in a rural wood-frame home reported repeated nighttime visits over several years by two large hair-covered bipeds, one larger and one smaller. The creatures were said to peer in windows, mimic an infant's sounds, produce a strong septic odor, throw heavy tanks, damage a vehicle, and leave hair on the house. Livestock on surrounding farms were found dead with intestines removed. After the father fired through a wall at one creature, only the smaller one was reportedly seen, and activity lessened after relatives guarded the house and a protective ritual was performed.

Three teenagers camping in a field behind a house smelled urine and heard something rushing through nearby woods. They fled toward the house as a tall hairy creature pursued them and later stood over their campfire throwing logs aside. The creature then circled the house and stepped onto the porch during the night before leaving by daylight, with broken branches found the next morning.

Along a path bordered by cornfield and forest they found places where the spool had been rolled and carried, along with very large human-like footprints. They later found the spool about a mile away where it had been tossed into a steep gully, and felt children were unlikely to have moved it over rugged terrain.

The witness says that for several years while hunting along a creek in East Texas he repeatedly had objects thrown past him and heard rustling suggesting something large moving around him. He never saw anything during this period and dismissed the incidents as natural at the time. He notes only he, his father and a friend used the area.

In summer 1977 the witness and a companion were backpacking and camped at a trail junction near a creek in forested mountain country. In the middle of the night they were awakened by loud crashing of logs and rocks being hurled in the streambed below. Bipedal footsteps then approached up the slope to behind nearby trees, with heavy breathing heard high in the air and a humph sound after the witness shouted, before the creature walked away parallel to the creek.

The witness recalls numerous puzzling occurrences from 30-40 years ago on a family farm of about 100 acres with orchards and woods. These included trees reportedly moved to block trails, an elaborate woven arch structure, large human-like footprints with long strides, rocks and a branch thrown near the witness, loud clicking exchanges, and nighttime disturbances around the barn and house. No creature was reportedly seen clearly, and the interpretation as possible Sasquatch activity developed over later years.

Two hunters camping on a remote barrier island awoke in their tent at night to the sound of bipedal footsteps approaching. After silence, something struck their tent and they exited with lights to see a dark, man-sized figure running toward the marsh. They chased it to the marsh edge but could not catch it, and noted a musky odor. They later verified no other boats were present and concluded a person could not have been out in the freezing conditions.

Pine cones landed sideways next to the witness and large tracks were seen in smashed grass, with a sense of being watched and shadowed until leaving the plateau. No creature was seen.

The witness and others were inside a makeshift shelter at a remote mountain camp at night with microphones placed outside. Loud rock clacking and snarling sounds were heard from about fifty feet away. The group remained inside with firearms, uncertain what the creatures intended.
Sasquatch sighting near Rainier, Oregon (1970)
The witness describes three years of repeated encounters after his family moved onto a wooded hillside property. Four ape-like animals repeatedly approached the trailers, peered in windows, vocalized at night, left tracks, damaged structures, and killed livestock. The father shot the largest animal in the shoulder near the pump house, after which the animals moved faster and more cautiously but continued the activity. Forestry and law-enforcement visitors reportedly told the father to stop shooting, and timber workers and well drillers also encountered the animals.

On the evening of August 11, 1968, two people driving northeast of Chittyville reported encountering a large black hairy creature estimated at about 10 feet tall with an unusually large head.
