The witness and a companion were camping overnight in a tent near a lake. Around 2 a.m. the witness awoke to very loud, heavy-sounding bipedal stomping moving through camp with branches breaking, which stopped abruptly when he moved to reach for a knife. He stayed still while feeling watched, then eventually fell back asleep. The companion separately reported hearing loud walking in camp that night, and no tracks or disturbance were found in the morning.

The witness and two companions entered the woods after dark to recover a deer shot earlier from a tree stand. While preparing to photograph the deer, the group heard an extremely loud scream from very close range, followed by the sound of something large crashing away through the woods toward a swamp. Two people had been fishing at Caesar Creek Lake and were packing up after sundown when a growling/hissing sound came from the treeline. After watching about five minutes they gathered gear and walked back to the parking area feeling watched.

In the early afternoon the witness and companions were walking down an old logging road when they heard strange whistling, gurgling pig-like sounds and trees shaking nearby. The witness approached to about 30 feet and saw the back of a light beige, clean-haired figure with darker face and hands holding trees, which then struck trees, turned away, and ran off on all fours while whistling continued from across the road. Companions farther away heard the whistles, thuds and thrashing but did not see the figure.

A couple camping alone in a state forestry heard large movements around camp all evening. Around 2 a.m. the husband saw a tall hair-covered biped beside their SUV and illuminated it before it ran past him over a gate into the woods. Later both heard knocks and rocks striking their tent for about an hour until a large rock tore the tent roof. Next morning they found partial prints and fresh bark damage before leaving.

The witness and a companion were outside a rural farmhouse late at night when they noticed a bright light down the road. The light rapidly approached to within about 35 feet and hovered silently a few feet off the ground. After under a minute of observation, the companion retrieved a spotlight, and as soon as it was aimed the light vanished instantly. The witness checked the area the next day and found no marks or disturbance.

While digging out the tires, the witness was struck by a thrown rock, then heard movement, footsteps and loud hissing vocalizations from the surrounding brush. A large wet adult creature and a smaller juvenile were then seen at close range crossing the road, throwing material at the car, before disappearing into the forest.

On the second evening the witness walked a sandy horse trail about a half mile from an earlier brush trail. He reported hearing an unfamiliar screech/growl, answering wood knocks, loud stomping nearby, and a rock thrown past him, followed by crashing in the brush. He then found a very large bare footprint that he photographed with his shoe for scale before leaving quickly without ever seeing the source.

The witness was driving home at night on a dirt backroad when something struck the truck, leaving scratches and a dent on the passenger door. After calling for help, the witness with two relatives found footprints along the road and photographed them. While photographing they saw green eye-shine above the brush and a large upright shadowy outline, then heard wood knocks, growling and heavy footsteps before the eyes disappeared.

While bow hunting in a creek bottom the witness heard an extremely loud deep scream from several hundred yards away, after which a doe ran an odd looping route and bedded down. After dark he heard child-like giggling and overlapping chatter from about 50 yards moving through water and brush deeper into the woods. He waited until it passed, then left with a light on and an arrow nocked.

Shortly after moving to Sarasota, the witness and his companion were followed down the beach late at night by an orange ball of light that stopped when they stopped. They drove home and a low helicopter followed them and then circled their apartment complex. They went inside and told his brother and searched local forums for similar reports.
