The guest and a friend entered a closed national forest trail to assess hurricane deadfall. After resting on a bridge over a bayou, the guest felt watched and then sensed something following and flanking them to the right. She heard heavy bipedal steps and raspy breathing, experienced intense fear and silence in the woods, and hurried to the truck without ever seeing the source.

The witness was deer hunting near a ditch when a buck stopped and stared toward a field. The witness looked and saw a tall bipedal creature crossing the field into a thicket. The witness later measured a branch the creature passed and estimated its height near seven feet six inches.

Two people were riding horses in single file a few hundred yards from a corral in the early to mid afternoon. The horses became nervous with ears moving back and forth, and a strong dirty wet-dog odor was noticed. Two closely grown intertwined trees nearby began shaking violently from about five to six feet up, though nothing could be seen between the branches. The riders focused on controlling the startled horses and then turned back toward the corral.

The witness walked to and waited at a bus stop around 6:15 when loud howling, screams and growls were heard repeatedly over several minutes from a large wooded area about 100 meters away. Neighborhood dogs reacted strongly and some ran into the woods where rustling was heard. The witness was frightened by the sounds and then boarded the bus.

In fall 2007 five young men walked into semi-dense woods at night and noticed a strong foul odor. Brush began shaking violently and with flashlights they saw broad shoulders moving through vegetation, then noticed something running down a hill and a large fallen tree that had been moved from its prior position. As they left the valley they again heard movement and saw a crouched figure shimmying through thick brush before fleeing the area frightened.

Gas cans and other items behind a shed were knocked over as something large moved a short distance through trees and stopped across a creek. The witness was camped alone and felt suddenly uneasy, so he left his campsite for a nearby shelter. As he left, he heard a large unseen animal run away through brush and down a slope. After reaching the shelter, he was awakened about 5:30 a.m. by two very loud, high-pitched howls from a nearby ravine that he did not recognize as any known animal.

After hearing odd noises and corn stalks breaking for some time while dogs reacted defensively, they heard a loud scream and saw a tall hair-covered humanoid emerge from the cornfield across the road. Four people on two four-wheelers stopped on railroad tracks at night to watch a distant light. While stationary they heard movement in the woods and then had rocks and large limbs or sticks thrown at them from the woods, landing on the tracks and splashing in a nearby ditch. The witness shone a flashlight but never saw what was throwing the objects, and the group left when the objects landed too close.

The witness was driving south on Route 55 near Seneca Rocks late at night in rain while towing a trailer when he saw a tall hair-covered biped about 20 feet away. He turned around, shined headlights and a flashlight into the woods, then heard movement through brush, vocalizations and wood pounding for several minutes before silence. He returned the next day, found apparent footprints, and photographed them.

The activity continued over several days with more distant knocks that seemed to approach, another large rock landing near the witness, and an ice chest found opened.

The guest spent about a week at a Kentucky property where others reported semi-habituated animals. Midweek, from a house, he observed an upright figure partly hidden in a fencerow rocking side to side, seeing a shoulder and head-like shape. When a resident approached with food, the figure turned and walked into the forest, swinging a large arm backward.

Late at night the witness and a relative were indoors when they heard monkey-like hooting at the window and noticed vegetation moving outside. The relative went outside with a firearm and saw further movement near the end of the house while the witness heard grunting sounds near another window. The household dog ran to the relative but then whimpered, backed away, and refused to approach the side of the house. After a quiet interval, the two heard only distant noises when they went out again at midnight.

Late at night the witness took a dog outside and heard movement in the densely wooded backyard. The witness then heard a deep growl followed by a loud progressive scream that seemed non-human and kept hearing vocalizations after going back inside. The next morning the witness found disturbed underbrush and broken branches but no footprints.

Late at night the witness and a companion at home heard loud roaring scream patterns from across a small lake that they judged non-human and primate-like, appearing to respond to barking dogs and move along the shore. About three minutes later they heard a violent scuffle with thudding, brush noise and a dog's pained yelp followed by quiet splashing. The next morning a canoe dock where the scuffle was heard was seen destroyed, and the dog was later found alive but limping.

Six people sitting around a campfire heard a very close, loud two-part vocalization described as whooing/moaning followed after a pause by a booming scream, then heard something moving across the creek. No visual contact was reported. The next day witnesses found a freshly broken/twisted sapling and barefoot-like prints of multiple sizes in a sandy area and made casts of tracks.

The witness was bow hunting for deer from a tree stand in the morning and then walked out through a dry lake/river bed. While walking below a brushy shelf, he heard grunting and growling from the tree line and observed trees being shaken. The unseen animal kept pace with him as he hurried away, and he never saw what made the sounds.

A family camping in a tent at the mouth of a river woke around 5 a.m. to sounds of something moving in the water followed by repeated large splashes described as rocks being thrown. They retreated to their boat offshore, where the witness shone a flashlight and saw a red reflective glint near the tent. They waited until daylight, found nothing at the spot, then broke camp and left.

The witness was sitting outside at night talking on the phone when she heard movement in nearby woods and then noticed a strange odor. She looked up and saw a very large, hair-covered figure standing in a field about 30 feet away. Frightened, she ran inside and locked the doors, and a family member found nothing that night with a flashlight. The next morning she and a relative found flattened grass, clearings, and tracks leading into the woods but were too frightened to follow them.

A woman and a child went to a relative's house to feed a dog. The child chased the dog around the house out of sight, then screamed and ran back saying a monkey-like creature growled and ran into the woods, later adding there was a little one with its mother. The woman did not see the creature but heard movement in the brush.
