While fishing a remote spillway with his father, the witness heard distant wood knocks that got closer and heard something bipedal pacing in thick woods. A Red Bull can flew out of the woods and landed near another fisherman, which frightened the father. They left as it got dark planning to return next day.

After weeks of getting knock and whoop replies in woods near a neighborhood, the witness and a friend did knocks and a deep howl one night and heard heavy running and branches breaking toward them. They ran to a cul-de-sac and watched a tall hairy ape-like figure reach around a tree and step into a house floodlight, stare at them, then walk back into the woods.

When younger the witness went with two companions to the upper bunkers at night. About 25 feet away in brush they heard an extremely loud scream twice, louder the second time, followed by two heavy impacts like stomps. The three ran down to their car, terrified.

The host and a hunting partner were moving quietly through woods during daylight when they heard the loud approach of a large animal. They stepped aside facing each other as the sound passed between them. Nothing was visible despite the loud charging noise.

While hunting, the witness exchanged whoops, found fresh feathers from a kill, then was paced by something in the trees. His partner called saying the same pacing was happening to him. They found a large fresh footprint straddling a ditch where it had crossed, with water still running into it.

The witness set a stocked tent and table at a campground campsite then hid with blankets over the truck windows to appear absent. After hearing trash lids, stick-dragging, post taps, a wood knock and owl-like hoots, two bipeds approached the truck and rummaged in the bed, clanking propane tanks. Later another pair ate melons at the table, and morning light revealed scuffs, an overturned generator, missing tanks, a handprint and bitten fruit.

The witness, then a child, slipped with several other scouts into woods by a pond despite warnings. They heard splashes, heavy impacts rippling the water, bipedal steps breaking branches circling the pond, and a loud angry scream, then fled. Later that night in a shared tent they heard heavy footsteps and sniffing between tents, followed by dogs attacking something, one dog later found killed, after which the group was ordered off the property.

After the family guard dog died, the household noticed an absence of bears, deer and other animals and a series of odd events. Large and strategic trees blocked paths to the creek, owl-like hoots and coyote-like sounds approached each other then turned violent, and something breathed, growled, scraped and slapped at windows, trailer and shed, mostly when the witness worked nights. The other dog became afraid to go out alone.

The witness, then 16, left a guided redwood hiking tour with a cousin and went about 100-150 yards off trail to a fallen tree. Coming around the exposed roots within about 10 feet, the witness saw a reddish-haired, broad-backed creature squatting with its back turned, first thinking it was a bear. The creature rose to near seven feet with human-like arms and legs and began turning, prompting both to flee to the tour group while hearing pursuit to the side; the witness later rationalized it as an escaped orangutan before concluding it was a Sasquatch.
Growl in North Carolina
After evening-shooting a large deformed buck that ran into the woods, the guest returned at dawn and crawled into a low briar tunnel to follow blood. A tremendous growl vibrated through him, heavy stomping approached, and a towering shadow loomed over his back with visible flexing fingers. He talked calmly while backing out, then fled. Two days later he found only the deer's ripped-off head with crumbling bone.

The witness, then a child, was wading a shallow creek fishing while the older cousin fished separately. The witness heard bipedal splashes and watched a huge hair-covered human-like figure cross the creek, climb the high bank, and eat fish from the stringer. The figure looked back and forth between the witness and the approaching cousin, then took the stringer and left the way it came. The cousin called it by a local name, said it was a Bigfoot, and made the witness swear never to mention it.

While walking near a creek the witness heard something wading bipedally through water and making a lip-rattling sound similar to one the witness often makes. The witness tried to parallel it to see through an opening but only caught a brief flash of light auburn hair. After circling, the witness found a wet step on a root and bark pulled back where something appeared to have climbed out, but saw nothing further.
