Northeast Washington resident sees a bigfoot looking in the window
In late June or early July 1981, the witness was sleeping on the floor of a friend's home when awakened by an unusual humming and grumbling sound. She saw the outline of a large broad-shouldered figure with a muscular arm and hand cupped to look through a high upper window, which she estimated would require at least seven feet of height. The figure looked in for about a minute, then walked around the house into the woods as the humming resumed. A search the next morning found no tracks in the hard-packed dirt.

Two people walking with a dog heard something moving through the woods away from them and followed the sound to a creek. On a sandbar in the middle of the creek they found a single large, fresh human-like barefoot print and saw no other prints on the higher far bank. They inferred a very long stride and returned up the road without seeing the source.

The witness was turkey hunting with a companion in wooded river bottomland and walked back toward the parked truck after dark. The witness heard it snap a large fallen tree in two, suggesting great weight. The witness reached the road area, slept in the truck overnight, and heard no additional screams or strange noises.

They heard something large moving in the woods behind them and then saw a tall hair-covered being partly obscured behind a tree a short distance away. The witness had spent years hiking and riding in groves near the Everglades. One night in 1981 he walked a wooded trail and heard a strange sound, then footsteps that paralleled him and then chased him as he ran toward lights. He escaped to a condominium and later to a friend's house, concluding he had been chased by a skunk ape.

The witness and his friend camped and fished over a weekend at a remote creek below a ridge road. They experienced pebbles and rocks thrown, pacing, huffing, wood knocks, a disturbed fire pit and scattered poles. A large creature then came down the ridge into the creek, growled at them from about 20 yards, and left. A DNR officer later found prints, cast them, and called them bear tracks.

Near a lit barn she saw a very tall shadow, ran, and felt it breathing over her head. After he aimed his scoped rifle it growled, beat a tree, exchanged whistles with another unseen mover, and he fled half a mile to his truck. He fired a warning shot, drove away as a hand reached for the tailgate, and saw a second creature in the mirror.

The witness was bowhunting from a climbing tree stand at dusk when he heard extremely loud screams and heavy footsteps moving around his stand within 50 yards. Frightened, he jumped from the stand and retreated toward the road while the unseen source paralleled him and continued screaming. At the road his hunting companion was waiting on top of the vehicle, having also heard the vocalizations.

The witness and a young relative spent the night in a camp trailer near the family house. Over several hours at night they heard heavy bipedal footsteps circling the trailer, brushing and clawing sounds on the siding, door and ceiling vent, and later blows to the trailer. The witness reported a brief glimpse of a long shaggy finger-like shape through the vent screen, and said the sounds withdrew when a car approached and returned later.

While hunting with a dog in the late afternoon, the witness felt watched. The dog ran into a thicket and barked, then a loud scream was heard over the barking followed by snapping branches, and the dog fled home. The witness then saw a tall dark outline standing in the brush about 25 yards away that seemed to start moving toward him, so he ran home and found the dog hiding.

In the winter of 1980 the witness and a relative camped overnight in a tent in Yellowstone after hiking and fishing. Around 10 at night while inside the tent they heard and felt something large and heavy run past on two legs for about ten seconds. They remained inside terrified until daybreak and found no tracks in the morning.

Two companions fishing at a mountain lake got off the trail in thick brush on a very dark stormy night and noticed bright green eyes watching them from well above ground level. The figure with the eyes followed them to the lakeshore and then to their truck, staying in the trees and staring without sound or movement even when they charged toward it yelling. They backed away slowly, freed their stuck truck, and drove home, telling no one for years.

Two children testing walkie-talkies in dense woods noticed a dark-faced figure watching them from behind a fallen tree. After several minutes of it shifting position and studying them, they backed away, saw it rise and place its hands on the trunk, then screamed and ran. They heard a loud crack and glimpsed the black, powerfully built biped running away almost silently.

A dark, man-like figure covered in black hair was seen at close range; it swayed, appeared to study the witness, and started to approach. After it left they found large human-like tracks with toes crossing a creek and in the woods, then abandoned the climb and skied out.
