Two companions parked a motorcycle on a dirt road late at night and walked toward a nearby residence when they heard loud heavy footsteps and brush crashing approaching from a swampy area. They ran back to the motorcycle and fled as the sounds and heavy breathing closed in. As they drove away, one rider looked back and saw a very large, wide, dark hairy figure leap onto the road, land on all fours, then stand erect and grunt. The figure was silhouetted in bright moonlight, preventing detail of face or hands, and was estimated at about seven feet tall.

The creature followed briefly then moved away making moaning sounds, and the witness saw a very large four-toed footprint while leaving.

One snowy night the household arrived to find the porch light out and heard a whimpering cry and heavy bipedal steps moving around the house and into the woods, followed by a loud hiss that shook the horse barn where a large dog was chained. The next morning the family found large barefoot-like tracks in snow leading from the driveway around the house and over a fence, which they followed for about half a mile and photographed beside a size 14 shoe.

After splitting up to search a dense thicket at dusk, the group reunited and heard a loud sustained scream from close range at head height. They left quickly without acting afraid and were paralleled to their trucks by something noisy breaking branches. Both adult hunters later confirmed they heard it matching their pace.

While deer hunting from a tree stand in the morning, the witness was approached by a companion who was pale and frightened and said something had stalked him aggressively and emitted a terrifying yell. The two investigated together and reported finding trees snapped off high above the ground and deep elongated impressions in dry ground, which they followed for two miles into dense foliage. The witness adds that he was stalked himself the next day.
