Three youths arriving home late at night saw a person-like form rise from where it had appeared as a stump near the water about 150 feet away. The figure walked quickly east along the shore, then turned and moved quickly back across the yard toward marshy woods by the trailer while making heavy running sounds. The youths rushed inside the residence and locked the door, remaining upset through the night.

Late one fall night the witness and a companion returned home and heard loud, agitated cries from a wooded ridge behind the house. The witness listened from the deck for about ten minutes as the cries and loud shuffling through dry leaves moved closer and then farther away. Livestock in a nearby field reportedly crowded into the light and stared toward the noise while distant dogs barked.
Footsteps in Ohio (2003)
In September 2003 the witness and a hunting partner were coon hunting at night in a cornfield in Ohio with two hounds. The dogs went silent and their radio trackers gave no signal, then something large circled the men in the corn with audible running and heavy breathing. A large amount of foul-smelling clear slime splattered onto the partner, and the men retreated to the truck to find both dogs cowering underneath, unwilling to load.

The witness joined a small group for an overnight camp to practice outdoor skills. In the evening the witness walked east of camp, noticed a strong foul smell and heard vegetation breaking nearby before running back to the group. Overnight the campers were awakened by sounds around the camp followed by a loud crash, and by morning the food hung high above ground was gone, the supporting limb was damaged, and a foul smell lingered. The group then packed and left the area.

The witness and a companion were resting while hunting hogs with dogs when they heard distinct bipedal-sounding steps that appeared to mimic their own movements and approach them. Fearing it was a person, they fled across a swampy opening. After stopping, they heard loud thrashing and breaking of brush moving away from them through the treeline.

Two companions were fishing a branch of the river in the morning when they heard a sound like a dying deer and noticed a very strong odor. They then heard movement and footsteps on a nearby island but could not see the source over the terrain. One companion briefly reported seeing something he first thought was a bear and then suggested could be a bigfoot, after which the pair left the area.

In August 2003 the witness left relatives fishing to hunt ginseng on a ridge near Yatesville Lake. He claimed hearing wood-like knocks and rocks moving through the trees, then seeing a large upright hair-covered figure watching him from across a hollow. He said he spoke to it, then hurried down the mountain hearing crunching steps and more thrown rocks behind him, and then packed his family out of the area.

Three young men were camping by a pond at night when they heard a loud moaning yell twice, followed by fast bipedal footsteps approaching. They turned on the truck's headlights and saw a six-foot-tall hair-covered creature with long arms about 20 yards away in a hollow. After watching for about 10 seconds, they fled in the truck.
Possible camp stalking in Jones Valley, Lake Shasta
Late at night while sitting by a nearly out campfire, the witness heard branches breaking at decreasing distances and then very heavy bipedal-sounding footsteps approaching. After waking a companion, both heard a few more steps before the sounds stopped. Nothing was seen because it was dark and the source was in trees. No footprints were searched for the next day.
Possible daylight encounter by a rural resident south of Sturgeon Bay
The witness was walking back from the mailbox in the afternoon when she heard deep man-like grunts and thumping from a brush thicket beside the driveway. She saw part of a large reddish-brown fur-covered animal, hunched over and rubbing or pounding its head or shoulders on trees. When she moved to get a better view, the animal ran toward her growling with heavy footfalls, and she fled to the house as it hit downed trees and stopped at the brush edge.

In October 2004 the witness was bow hunting from a stand when gibberish-like vocal sounds and running were heard in the pines. A doe ran in front of the stand staring north, then a short huh sound, silence, deep sniffing and slow deliberate movement with snapping twigs circled to the northeast and east as the doe fled. The source was never seen.
Daylight sighting by two young female hikers in Jennings State Forest
Two companions hiking a trail to pick berries rounded a corner and saw a tall dark furry figure about 40-50 yards ahead moving away through palmettos, with only the upper body visible. The companion reported loud thrashing and breaking vegetation while the reporting witness recalled no sound. After about half a minute they fled the area in fright.

The witness was deer hunting alone from a climbing stand in a remote valley. After hearing brush explode and later feeling watched, the witness saw a hair-covered bipedal female creature stalking and then running alongside. The creature chased the witness down a dim road to the truck, after which the witness fled and suffered nightmares for two years.

Two siblings camped in a remote forest clearing and heard movement, a log being turned, then three extremely loud long screams from about 100 yards away. They hid in their tent, and in the middle of the night the witness heard unintelligible deep speech-like talking very close outside. In the morning they found large barefoot prints behind a bush and later found their tent flipped over when they returned.

The couple hunted an 80-acre property for years, finding straight-line tracks, a high snapped limb, and hearing knocks and strange ridge noises. A relative saw a tall black bipedal figure walking up the creek. Small objects left on stacked tin were moved and exchanged over several days.

The witness reached the truck and left without ever seeing the source.

Two deer hunters walking a creek bottom heard movement paralleling them on a deer trail, then saw a figure moving bipedally through the woods about 60 yards away. They watched it cross the creek, climb the banks, and run along a power line into pines where the sounds eventually stopped. They tried to backtrack it but lost sign beyond a farm pond.
Squirrel Hunter has encounter south of El Dorado
The witness was hunting squirrels alone late in the afternoon along an old road near a swamp. After smelling a strong foul odor and hearing growls, hoot-like sounds, footsteps and brush movement, the witness continued toward a clearing. The witness then saw a tall reddish hairy creature cross the road behind them in one step and run into the brush, then ran to the truck and left.

The witness took his dog to a remote forest campground late in the year and built a campfire. Something crashed loudly down the hill and stopped behind a tree near the campsite while the dog reacted. The witness armed himself, retrieved his gear, and later saw a large hairy forearm and hand with thick black fingers by the tree.
Vocalizations Heard Near Sighting During Same Time Period
The witness and a family member were on their home porch in the early morning when a loud commotion broke out on the hill beside the house. They heard a series of loud screams unlike any known animal, followed by something large running through the woods and breaking branches. Both were shaken, and a next-day search of the hard, gravelly ground found no tracks.
