The witness was driving home around 3 a.m. and stopped at an intersection near a bridge. From about 50 yards away in bright headlights, the witness watched a large humanoid run across an open field to the east. Another motorist also stopped, asked about a bear running by, made a joking reference and drove off.

A tow truck driver was loading a car that had struck an elk late at night when he heard a deep grunt. He shone a light and saw an upright creature dragging the dead elk one-handed by the antlers through deep snow into a drainage. The creature looked at him, continued dragging the elk about 100 feet, and disappeared from view after about 15 seconds.

The witness shot a deer at dusk and dragged it toward his truck after dark. On the trail he saw a widely spaced pair of large eyes at about his own height that stayed after he fired a handgun into the ground, then left to the side through dense brush with loud crashing. He smelled a foul musky odor and found pushed-over vegetation where it left, felt watched while field-dressing the deer, and later found part of the carcass dragged about 300 yards.

A large thick-legged figure crossed the road in front of the car, briefly turning its torso to look at the driver before continuing into a roadside ditch. The witness and a companion were in a boat heading toward shore at night when they heard splashes, smelled a foul wet-animal odor, and saw shoreline vegetation shaking violently. A large rock was thrown from shore toward them and landed near the boat. When they shone a flashlight toward shore they saw a large dark human-shaped figure with red glowing eyes partly obscured by vegetation, then yelled and banged oars before retreating to a safer distance and hearing a loud scream or roar as they loaded the boat and left.

The witness was hunting raccoons at night with hounds alongside a relative in marshy woods. After the dogs treed and the chased animal left the tree, the witness moved to a ridge to listen, noticed eyeshine, then saw a tall hair-covered animal about twenty feet away on the trail. The two looked at each other briefly, the witness does not recall how it departed, and a foul smell followed back toward the truck. The next morning the witness recovered the hounds still treed with a bobcat.

A driver on country back roads at night slowed after noticing something hiding behind a tree by the road. The figure peeked out at the vehicle and then hid again. The witness described a very tall human-like face with red eyes and was disturbed that it seemed to intentionally avoid the headlights.

Two volunteers were feeding birds at a raptor center late at night when they heard something large moving in the woods beyond the cages. They followed sounds of heavy footsteps and snapping twigs along a walkway for about 30 minutes as it moved toward a reservoir inlet. Both reported seeing large red eyes during the pursuit but did not describe seeing a body.

At age 12, the witness was lying on his bed watching TV in the family's trailer when he felt watched and looked toward the large rear window. Inches away on the other side of the glass stood a huge, broad, black-haired creature staring in with red eyes and a blank expression for several minutes. The creature bent slightly to look down into the elevated window, its eyes moving to look the witness over, before turning its head in a blur and leaving. Terrified, the witness fled to sleep in the bathroom and later told his father, who laughed it off.

While walking alone to his stand in the dark, the witness was followed in the brush line, then saw a huge dark-faced creature that hit a tree. The creature later approached the ground blind and sniffed at the door gap before leaving.

The witness said he went outside at night with a flashlight and a handgun after suspecting someone was stealing gas from his truck.
