Around 1-2 a.m. the witness went to retrieve bags from a car near a carport and heard a snorting grunt. Backlit by a carport light, he saw a large wide shape that vocalized again, circled with him as he retrieved a rifle, then left toward the woods. Next morning he found disturbed ground suggesting large bipedal steps.

From a sixth-floor hotel balcony before dawn, the witness watched a tall hair-covered biped for five to six minutes at a distance. Late at night they heard clear bipedal footsteps approaching up a steep slope, followed by breaking limbs and circling around their camp outside the firelight for over half an hour. They also heard loud exhaled huffs that frightened them. They abandoned camp and returned the next day for their gear.

The witness and a companion were waiting on a riverbank at night to help pull rescue canoes from the water. After hearing brush-breaking and grunting sounds for some time, the witness was rushed by a large upright figure that came within about 10 feet while making loud vocalizations. Both individuals fled and the figure did not pursue further.
Odor in Alabama
From a blind in the afternoon the witness shot a doe that ran into the tree line. Following blood and a strong gut-like stench that grew stronger, the witness found the deer on its side with the body undulating and something large behind it. After a loud heavy exhalation, the witness yielded the deer and left.
