A tow truck driver was loading a car that had struck an elk late at night when he heard a deep grunt. He shone a light and saw an upright creature dragging the dead elk one-handed by the antlers through deep snow into a drainage. The creature looked at him, continued dragging the elk about 100 feet, and disappeared from view after about 15 seconds.

In the outer reach of the headlights a tall dark bipedal figure crossed the road left to right in about three strides while hunched forward in a jogging motion. The witness estimated it at 8 to 9 feet tall with a build proportional to its height and said it never looked toward the car.

They distinguished a different howl-like sound about 200 to 300 yards to the north, heard three times in total. The sound was captured on audio and a segment was later isolated. No creature was seen.
