The witness was at home in Rainier, Washington, playing video games when unknown loud calls, cries and hoots were heard on several nights in early February 2011. Some sounds were recorded on a cell phone and a webcam left running overnight and later posted online, with relatives also hearing them. The witness described one close cry and later hoots suggesting two individuals calling to each other. An investigator later had the audio compared to suspected vocalizations and visited the surrounding woods.

The witness was driving into his home lane from the paved highway when he saw an animal walking up a ridge through the woods about 80 yards away. He watched it for about 15 seconds until it went out of sight over the ridge. He described it as 7 to 8 feet tall, huge, and dark brown in coloring.

Two people driving north at night reported a tall, black, human-like figure standing in the road. As their vehicle approached, the figure crossed from the east side to the west side very quickly, described as moving like a gorilla. The witnesses estimated its height at 7-8 feet and did not see its face.

The witness and a companion were hiking out after a multi-day camping trip when they found a large barefoot-like print in mud, with additional fainter tracks continuing along the trail, and took a single cellphone photo. The witness was hiking on a new gravel path through a forest preserve at lunchtime. In wet crushed gravel that preserved other footprints, the witness noticed bare footprints about 13 inches long with five toes that appeared deeper than shoe prints and traced them back to thick grass. The witness photographed the prints with a glove for scale and found the step distance too long to comfortably match.

About 2.5 years before the report, a 4.5-year-old boy was riding in a van with his mother and grandmother while the family looked for firewood near Bowser. Looking out the open door toward a clearcut bordered by alders, the boy saw a tall upright brown-black animal emerge, take several steps, pause to look at the van, then return to cover. He described it as walking on two legs and swinging its arms, seeing it from the waist up.

On a sunny spring morning in 2011 the witness was walking a trail beside a swampy area when he heard a whistle-like sound followed by loud smashing and crashing in the woods. He never saw the source but interpreted the sounds as a large creature moving parallel to him and later splashing in a creek. He searched for tracks but found only his own.

While driving on I-64 at dusk, the witness saw a hair-covered figure run through heavy traffic and across the median without slowing. While walking on the farm property the witness saw flashes shooting upward from the woods. The witness first suspected a game camera flash but was told no cameras were there. Other visitors reported orb-like lights in the sky that the witness did not see.

The witness had walked away from lodging to clear his head after an argument. While walking on a road at night he heard branches breaking and a loud vocalization, then saw a very large dark fur-covered shape between trees on a rock face. After hearing a deep exhale-like sound and losing sight of it, he ran back to lodging.

The witness hiked out to a granite face after work and headed back at dusk through dense overgrown trail along a dry creek. Something large and heavy sprinted on all fours from behind him, blurred past, crossed the creek and stopped silently. He felt watched, left quickly, and later jokingly told his wife he ran into a giant wolf.

After leaving the large ship at night, the witness stopped on the sidewalk and watched a dull gray spherical object hovering roughly 800 to 1000 feet up. He observed it clearly for four to five seconds in port lighting before it shot off toward the ocean, leaving a streak of light. He heard no sound.

The witness and his father went early in the morning to fish the headwaters of a river. Pinecones repeatedly landed very close to them though no trees overhung them and no trajectory was seen. After one cone struck the father in the woods they left to fish elsewhere.

While road hunting with a spotlight, the witness and a friend spotted eyes and a dark silhouette in a field and the friend shot it with a .22. It did not flee but rocked side to side, screamed extremely loudly, and stepped toward them. They left when another truck approached. Next day they found blood and realized it had stood in a deep ditch, implying tall height.
