Late at night the witness and a relative went outside to check a heavy thud behind the house. They saw a deer run past, then a very tall hair-covered human-like figure approach from the woods. After a shotgun shot was fired toward the treeline, the figure veered closer, stopped nearby, then moved along the treeline into the woods where it remained visible for several minutes. A strong odor was noticed and large footprints were found the next day.

The witness's spouse spotted the print after the witness had walked over it without noticing. No visual contact was reported by the witness during these sounds.
Possible encounters by soldiers training at Fort Pickett
A military controller and about 20 soldiers conducting multi-day field training heard unexplained footsteps around their concealed position on several occasions and later heard several loud wood-on-wood knocks from a direction where no troops were located. The unit checked team positions verbally and visually and investigated but found no source. That evening they heard a radio report of a separate sighting elsewhere on the installation.

While camping with two relatives, the witness hiked off-trail and circled back toward the campsite road. Looking back toward an upper trailhead, the witness saw a tall, bulky black figure walking from right to left and quickly out of sight. The witness then moved forward to the spot with the relatives and later compared the figure's size to a relative, estimating it much taller and wider.

The witness was with two companions walking a forest trail back to camp near midnight while using a thermal monocular and making howls and whoops. After hearing four return howls, the witness saw a bright heat signature through the thermal that peeked from behind a tree, disappearing and reappearing on alternating sides for about a minute. A companion also viewed it through the thermal and reacted with surprise. When the companions moved closer, the source grew smaller, moved through thick vegetation from right to left, and disappeared, with the witness discerning only what looked like a head.
Man hears strange calls while hiking near swamp at Wallace Falls State Park
The witness was hiking with a dog toward Wallace Lake when both stopped after hearing a loud human-like yell from across a marshy bog. The sound repeated about a minute later from the same forested area about 75 yards away. The witness looked but saw no person or animal. The witness continued hiking without further incident.

The witness was driving on a highway in the afternoon with a relative as passenger when the relative spotted an upright hair-covered animal standing at the tree line. They observed it for several seconds from about 20-30 ft off the road before it was gone. The witness turned the vehicle around and searched the woods on foot but found nothing, hearing and smelling nothing unusual.

Late one evening in April 2011 the witness returned home from dinner next door and walked toward the unfinished garage addition. He saw a very tall dark figure standing behind his SUV at the garage entrance for a few seconds before running back inside for a gun. The witness claims a family group has visited a rural wooded property regularly for nearly two years, typically evenings to early mornings several times a week. Reported activity includes footprints, wood knocks, odors, vocalizations, trail and structure formation, and direct sightings with food exchange and close interactions. An investigator visited the densely brushed property, observed extensive trails and shelter-like spots, and interviewed the household about four to five individuals of different sizes.

The witness went to a remote forested area in south Georgia to listen to and record night wildlife sounds. They personally heard three wood knocks and two distant whoops, which two companions present did not perceive. A recorder left running overnight captured several distant howls.

The witness was traveling along a road around 11 a.m. in clear, cool conditions and reported seeing a tall, thin, hair-covered figure standing off to the side of nearby railroad tracks. The witness described the figure as very tall but reported no facial details. An investigator later met the witness and visited the location, recording estimates of about seven feet tall, slender build, black hair, about 200 pounds, and about 250 feet observation distance.

The witness spent the night in a parked car in a gravel pit with a dog while watching a movie on a laptop. Something abruptly pushed the rear of the car down about a foot, jolting the vehicle. The witness looked out, saw nothing in the darkness, and heard nothing leaving. The dog stayed curled up tightly without barking, which the witness described as highly unusual, and no tracks or marks were found the next morning.

The witness was driving home from work at night on a snow-covered highway when he noticed a tall figure on the shoulder. While driving over a hill at night, the witness's headlights illuminated a large dark furry figure by a road sign at the roadside. The figure appeared ready to cross from a swampy marsh toward wooded hills but turned swiftly back into the marsh when lit. The witness reported seeing the light-colored hairless sole of its very large foot before it disappeared.

Late at night in February 2011 the witness was driving on Highway 95 between Potlatch and Tensed when a very large dark bipedal form crossed the road in front of the car. The witness stopped in the empty highway but the figure vanished from the lit pasture and ditch without being seen again. The witness fled home in dread and later interpreted the figure as possibly Sasquatch-related.

The witness went out in the morning to feed dogs kept away from the house and noticed a large barefoot footprint in patchy melting snow. After finding only one clear print, the witness and two relatives searched the surrounding area by ATV and located a second, more melted print some distance away. The prints were measured and photographed.
Possible footprints found near Algonquin
After a major blizzard, the witness and her husband noticed a long line of large footprints crossing their snow-covered backyard. The trackway appeared to start near the patio by the garage, pass toward an outhouse, and continue toward a fence and adjoining trail and woods. No creature was seen, and no photos of the tracks were taken before the snow melted.
