The witness, an HVAC apprentice, waited alone in the back of a work van at a rural house in western Massachusetts while his coworker stepped away and a boiler timer ran. He heard faint breathing and a light tap on the van, then saw a very tall dark figure hunched to peer through a 3-4 inch gap in the rear door and locked eyes with it for several seconds. The eye appeared pitch black then briefly glowed white-gray, apparently reflecting the coworker's headlamp, before a loud boiler boom startled the figure. It fled in three loud steps across gravel, grass and leaves that both men heard, left a sour wet-towel odor, and the elderly homeowner responded that local animals are friendly.

As a child about 10 to 12 the witness was picking raspberries alone very early in the morning on her grandparents' farm near Round Lake, Minnesota. Within a few feet she noticed a very large reddish-brown hairy figure with two smaller figures on the other side of the bushes, all quietly picking berries and then crouching into tight balls with faces turned away. She kept picking past them, retreated slowly to the house, and told her grandfather, who fired shots but found nothing; as an adult she interprets them as a Sasquatch family.

The witness and his young son went squirrel hunting in a public forest reached through a swamp. On the trail back they heard loud bipedal footsteps, heavy raspy breathing, and a powerful growl from very close range but saw nothing despite sparse cover. The unseen presence paced them for about a hundred yards, then growled again and ran toward them through the swamp as they reached the truck and left.

When the guest was 16 or 17, he was with about 20 people partying on a friend's flat roof late at night. They watched a light moving like a satellite that stopped, changed direction, bounced around the sky, then accelerated away much faster. About 10 to 15 minutes later three dark, quiet, unmarked helicopters flew low over the house toward the light's direction.

On another evening around the same period, the guest stood in his driveway and heard a noise, then saw a yellowish glow moving through trees behind the house. The glow lit trees behind it as well and appeared about 20 feet off the ground, unlike a flashlight. He watched it float through the trees for two to three minutes until it left view.

He peeked around the house and saw a self-emitting blue ball about softball to grapefruit size floating across the driveway. The witness heard a baby-like crying sound near his property, then about ten minutes later a very loud, long, deep roar from a mountain about half a mile away. Shortly after, an answering roar came from the top of his own mountain behind him. The two roars went back and forth, shaking his RV, and he went inside with his dog.

He showed the tracks to others in camp and followed them uphill about half a mile through timber. His horse became increasingly nervous sniffing the tracks and refused to continue in blow-downs, so he skirted the timber, found no exit tracks, and gave up the follow.
