Driving back from Michigan on the Mountain Parkway near Prestonsburg in fog, the tired witness saw a monkey-like creature run across the road on all fours at an angle behind the guardrail. Its head topped the guardrail by a few inches, looked grayish to white, and seemed to blend with the fog.

After a joking tree knock received an answering knock, the night brought dog distress, stick-breaking sounds, and heavy bipedal footsteps passing the tents without disturbing food. The next day one camper felt watched while gathering firewood.

Two friends camped near a river and went for late-night fishing with a lantern. Rocks were thrown at them from across the wide fast river, landing near them repeatedly. They returned to camp to find others in tents and later concluded no person could have thrown such heavy rocks that far.

The witness was alone in an inner tube fishing under a full moon when he felt dread and heard a scream and bushes moving. Several large mesquite trees were shaken from the base at once while he felt rumbling pressure in his chest. He kicked to shore, abandoned his gear in waders, and drove out through brush.

The witness and his son hiked in the Paradise area, noticed a bad smell, unusual tracks, and dark woods, then showed track photos to rangers who stopped talking. Later on a lower trail they saw a dark upright figure standing by a tree about 100 meters away. They observed it through a monocular, saw it move, left uneasy, and returned to find it gone.

A few days before the October chum opening, the guest and three others were anchored off Village Island when banging, chirping whistles and a strong stink were noticed. In the spotlight two upright creatures were seen on the beach, one larger in the grass and one smaller below, which crouched and covered their faces. Rifles were aimed but not fired, and the figures later left into the bush, with further eye-shine, scenting sounds, and a tree bent as one departed.

While driving toward a calling spot, the group encountered two large individuals crossing the road, the larger beige and estimated at 11 to 12 feet. The larger disappeared into thick pines while the smaller repeatedly tried to run ahead and recross in front of the truck. The driver blocked it several times under headlights and spotlights until it left into the woods.

The witness was night driving with his girlfriend through fog when he saw two jet-black figures standing in a marshy field off the road. The larger figure had very wide shoulders with its head set low, and it turned its upper body toward the smaller one as they passed. He said nothing at the time and later returned in daylight and found no stumps, signs, or poles that could explain them.

The witness was grouse hunting alone in the woods when he startled something to his left. A black upright figure ran incredibly fast across the woods without crashing sounds and stopped behind a distant tree. It stepped out, stared directly at the witness, did not wave back, then stepped back behind the tree and was gone when the witness walked up.

The witness and a friend were fishing along a wooded river gorge and noticed a rotten musky urine odor. While hiking and fishing back downstream they heard shuffling and footsteps in leaves. The witness felt watched, turned toward the sounds, then heard a deep guttural growl that felt physical in the chest and backed toward the river while the friend ran ahead.

The witness was camping with friends in a Utah canyon and became separated alone in the woods while playing a nighttime game. After hearing a grunt and a deep growl and seeing an arm wrap around a tree, he watched a tall, muscular, thin-haired biped step between trees while staring at him. He fled toward approaching headlights, fell down a drop to the road breaking his collarbone, and was picked up by a passing couple who took him to a ranger station.

The guest and his friend went about a mile from the house to a wild creek area at night to shoot rabbits. After a missed shot, the whole valley erupted in loud wolf-like howls unlike coyotes. Frightened, they ran about two miles back up the hill to the house.
