They threw rocks back for many minutes until a rock came from the direction they had entered, making the guest conclude they were surrounded.

On the second to last night out, the guest noticed an upright shadow behind a large oak tree about 15 to 20 feet away. He could see an arm with long shaggy hair and a hand with five pointed fingers. A rock landed nearby, he glanced away, and the shape was gone without sound.
