Two girls were walking in woods near home looking for a tree to climb when they encountered an upright beige-haired gorilla-like creature in a clearing. The creature first appeared bent over, then straightened and seemed to notice them, causing both girls to run home and immediately tell a parent. The parent did not inspect the site because the girls were too frightened to return. An investigator later interviewed both witnesses as adults and they maintained the same account.

The witness was night hiking with three companions along a canal road when he heard a loud guttural growl and saw a large tree shaking violently across a grassy field. Two small dark bipedal creatures then ran from the tree line toward him, stopped and crouched halfway across the field while watching him. Startled and concerned about a companion in the vehicle and a deer carcass needing attention, the witness chose not to stop or back up and left the area quickly. The sighting occurred after dark and was recalled years later after reading other reports.
