Late on a Friday night in October 1969, the witness and a driver were sitting talking in a parked car near woods and a brook. The witness noticed two red eyes in the road ahead, and when headlights were turned on they saw a hairy bipedal figure that stood up and slowly waddled into the woods. The witness ran inside a house while the driver drove away, and later told the witness's mother about the sighting.

She stayed on the trail with it alongside until the edge of the woods, then ran to a nearby building while it remained in the woods.

He looked up and saw a manlike figure about eight feet tall covered head to foot in long hair with a strong smell. The witness was staying overnight at the family property and went outside about 2 a.m. to quiet barking kennel dogs. On the way out and again on the way back, the witness noticed a large silver-colored being sitting calmly on a woodpile and watching. The witness went inside, locked the door, awoke shaking three hours later, and later called a friend and drew what was seen.

Two people were fishing at a river at night when wildlife sounds suddenly stopped. One of them went to the top of the bank with a rifle and spotlight and observed red eyes estimated to be 7 to 8 feet high near the fence. Shots were fired toward the eyes, impacts were heard, and the eyes closed with nothing further seen. The pair left quickly, had to move crowded livestock to exit, and never returned.

When the witness was a child, he accompanied his grandfather to unlock gates and check boats at a remote fishing spot early one summer morning. After getting out of the truck, they saw a tall hair-covered figure standing on the far side of the lake near the dam about fifty yards away looking at them. The grandfather told the boy not to worry and turned him toward the boats, and when the boy looked again the figure was gone.
