The witness and a sibling companion walked to a creek where a bridge used to be one evening. They smelled an odd odor, felt watched, and then had rocks thrown at them as they tried to leave. While walking and then running toward the road they heard large, heavy movement in the trees on both sides that seemed to follow them.

A young Marine on night guard during cold-weather training saw a friend run back from the tree line shaken and silent. He went to the same spot, noticed breath in the trees and one tree swaying, heard a strange vocalization between a growl and roar, then saw a massive hairy figure in moonlight. He backed away sideways to camp without turning his back and stayed awake watching the spot.

Three people who had been duck hunting were driving around sightseeing when the driver braked. The writer, riding in the truck bed, saw a small dark upright figure run from near the road up through a logged area and disappear at the distant treeline. The two companions also saw it cross the road ahead of them. The group briefly drove to where it disappeared and looked around, then left feeling uneasy.

The witness was bow hunting at dusk, hidden between two deer trails, when footsteps approached from behind. A black, roughly 7.5-foot-tall figure stopped about 75 feet away and stared at the witness for about a minute while swaying slightly, then turned and walked away. The witness did not shoot, and a next-day search found no tracks due to leaf litter.

The witness was driving to work in the morning when a dark figure climbed a roadside bank, stood up, and crossed the highway in a few very long strides to the treeline. The figure was estimated at 7 to 8 feet tall, appeared covered in hair, walked slightly slouched, and paused to look toward the witness. The witness continued driving and returned later, but rain had packed down the site and no footprints were found.

Four people settling to sleep at a deer hunting camp heard a deep grunting animal shuffling behind a tent. Two of them got up with rifles and lights to investigate, and the animal left quickly while grunting and breaking through brush. They never saw the animal and found no tracks the next morning.

The creature showed eye reflection, covered its eyes from the light, braced between two small trees with large hairless-palmed hands, then shambled away. The pair heard movement around camp all night and the next day found freshly twisted tree limbs nearby but no usable tracks due to dry ground.

The witness and a companion were camping alone at a primitive site along the Collawash River. Late at night the companion said someone was outside the camper, and the witness went outside but found no one there. After trying to rest, the witness reported an uncomfortable feeling of being stared at. The pair then left the campsite and drove back to town.

The witness arrived before dawn to hunt deer from a tree stand on a wooded base. Around sunrise a small black furry animal about three feet tall near the tree stood up on two legs, then dropped to all fours and ran toward cover, disappearing silently. The witness left the area without examining the ground and later interpreted the animal as a young Sasquatch.

The witness was driving uphill in the morning when they saw a tall dark figure crossing the road at the crest ahead, initially perceiving it as a man carrying sticks. The witness reached the spot quickly and found no one there, noting the roadside was heavily wooded with culverts. Years later the witness concluded the figure may have been a Bigfoot seen from about 200 feet away.

From about a half-mile away on a riverbed, the witness heard a very loud scream from the forest to the north believed to be in the same area.

Two companions bowhunted for elk and hiked out after dark toward their truck parked behind a locked gate. Along the ridge and back to the road they repeatedly noticed a moldy, musky odor and felt as if they were being watched. Near the truck they found very large human-like footprints, about 16 inches long, overlying their own earlier tire tracks. They saw no live animal and left quickly.

Believing the source was upset by their presence, they left the area and the witness reports not returning to fish there.
