The hunter was squirrel hunting in a boat-access swamp when he noticed a dark figure sitting nearby trying to stay still. He watched it eye to eye, noted its large size and white eyes, then it stood and ran away. He and his stepfather left the area by boat.
Sasquatch sighting near Grant's Pass Area, Oregon (1997)
During a major flood the witness was sleeping in the living room by a sliding door overlooking the river. A large hairy figure crawled over the deck railing, broke it and a planter, took three steps across the porch, looked at her, then vanished into the forest. She describes it as heavy, clumsy and hurrying, possibly fleeing the flood.
Unidentified sound near Davenport, Oklahoma (1997)
Around 1997 or 1998 the witness was deer hunting alone in the evening on a wooded hillside at Gobbler's Knob near Davenport where he had permission and knew no cattle were present. He heard something heavy hit the ground and break a large limb, then crash down the hill through trees for about 150 yards without ever seeing it. On the same section on other occasions he had a large rock thrown through trees toward him and heard knocks he first attributed to nearby farmers.
Wood knock in Oregon (1997)
While fishing on opposite sides of a remote pond, the guest and the guest's father heard rock clacks, then closer wood knocks in threes, then a low howl. As they moved to meet and leave, a fist-sized rock whizzed past the guest's head and splashed in the pond. Both left quickly for the truck without further incident.
Tracks near Oakridge, Oregon (1997)
The guest and the guest's father hiked into a remote creek area to look at a footprint the father had found. On the way they found large human-like tracks, a hand-like depression in moss, a strong dump-like odor on a log, and small bare prints in mud. They camped overnight hearing grumbling sounds and finding flattened grass, then found more large tracks on an island with broken branches and cast several prints on video.
Howl near Honobia, Oklahoma (1997)
The guest and her husband were camping in the mountains near Honobia without horses to scout riding country. They heard a loud siren-like wail combined with a woman screaming and howling. She later recognized it as the siren call she would hear many times in southeast Oklahoma.

The witness and his friend stopped on a narrow mountain road at night and saw a huge backlit hairy figure watching them from uphill. The witness threw a beer bottle toward it, it grunted and swayed, and they fled in the truck.
Scream near Wallowa, Oregon (1997)
The witness and his young son camped in a clearing north of town while waiting for a relative before a deer hunt. After dark the forest went silent and they heard long loud screams that sounded closer over several hours. In headlights across the road they saw huge hands parting small trees and the top of a hairy head, then left for town and tracked flattened grass with a very long stride the next morning.

In late summer or early fall 1997 around 10pm, the witness and the mother sat quietly on a relative's back deck watching stars in darkness. A strange vocalization lasting about five seconds came from 20 to 30 feet down the yard, then repeated seconds later from closer. The witness tried to turn on a light and searched the yard with a flashlight but saw nothing, and both went inside. No trace was found when checked the next day.

The witness reports sitting on a deer stand by a field with relatives during a sunny day. The witness looked west and saw a tall reddish-brown animal with dark deep-set eyes, facial hair, and a broad forehead. After looking away briefly, the witness looked back and the animal was gone.

The main witness was sitting on a log hunting squirrels after an older relative moved to another area. A dark hairy figure reportedly ran upright from behind a tree very fast, making a high-pitched noise with loud thumping footsteps. After it disappeared, the witness ran to tell the older relative, who did not believe the account.

Their headlights caught a very large, tall, dark-brown figure running across the road about 40 to 50 feet away. In a few long strides it disappeared into the woods, and the frozen ground left no tracks to examine.

The witness and a relative were driving at night when headlights illuminated a reddish-brown hair-covered creature sitting on its haunches in the opposite lane. As they passed within a few feet it remained unconcerned but turned its head to watch them, revealing a human-like face with dark eyes and skin. The witness compared its seated height to that of an average man and noted a slender build.

The witness was driving at night with a relative while looking for deer when gold eyes were noticed off the left side of the road. On approaching, they saw a roughly six-foot-tall figure with long brown hair standing by a fence and swaying side to side. They drove slowly past without stopping and did not return.

After arriving home after dark with headlights on, the family heard their dog barking and crashing through vegetation as it chased something toward the car. An upright, dark-brown furry creature burst from behind a tree into the headlights, came within about twenty-five feet, then turned and ran back into the woods with the dog in pursuit. The family watched for a few seconds before retreating into the vehicle, frightened.
Odor near Marysville, Washington (1997)
The guest and three companions visited the quarry caretaker and walked toward the quarry pond. After smelling a musky odor and finding a large nesting area, they saw a female creature sitting by a berry bush that stood and quickly left into the woods. They tracked snapping sounds and heavy breathing with amplified equipment for over an hour until the sounds stopped near a clear-cut.

The witness was accompanying a friend on an elk hunt and walking along a creek in a saddle when they noticed a very large human-like footprint in melting snow. After studying the unclear single print and showing it to the friend, who noted faint toes, they continued down the creek. About 100 yards away they found six or seven more similar large prints in snow and mud with three to five toes visible.
