Morning sighting by motorist at railroad crossing near Median
The witness was driving home from work in the early morning and stopped at a railroad crossing. While crossing she looked west and saw a tall, dark, hair-covered biped about 100 yards away crossing the tracks toward brush. She watched only a few seconds before driving home frightened.
Campers in the Pine Barrens hear loud, terrible scream
The witness was sleeping outside on the fringe of a large group camp in a remote pine forest when awakened around 1:30 a.m. by a loud, unfamiliar scream and sounds of a large animal moving through brush within about 20 yards. Too frightened to look, the witness hid in a sleeping bag. A similar scream was heard again one to two hours later farther off, and other campers also reported hearing the wails.

The witness was working late at night at home with windows open. A loud impact-like bang was heard, followed by three or four loud yells described as non-human and unlike a house pet, seemingly coming from woods behind the apartment complex near railroad tracks. The witness felt the yells resembled descriptions of a possible Bigfoot yell heard at a seminar.
Motorist has nighttime sighting of bipedal animal at roadside
The witness was driving alone at night on a wooded highway. After noticing what looked like a tree beside the road, the witness saw it turn and take a few steps into the woods, describing it as huge with long matted hair. The sighting lasted only a few seconds, and the witness then drove away quickly.

The witness was driving a delivery truck out of Morrison in heavy fog and snow when a hairy animal crawled out of Bear Creek onto the road. It ran toward the truck on two legs while pumping its arms and struck the passenger mirror with its shoulder. He continued his route while trying to rationalize what he saw.
Hikers find three sets of fresh tracks on Fanton Trail
The witness and a companion were hiking up a trail when they found a large footprint in the middle of the trail. They continued about a mile, seeing similar prints, then noticed a second smaller set and a third even smaller set entering the trail. Hearing and smelling nothing but feeling a presence nearby, they turned back.
Shocked hikers watch hairy human-like animal run by them 10 feet away
The witness and a companion were hiking in the evening when they heard a muffled gibberish-like scream and called out with no response. As they walked toward the sound, they heard crashing and saw a large, hunched, hairy human-like figure run past about 10 feet away down the mountainside. They were too shocked and scared in the fading light to follow it.

The witness and a relative were hiking near Helmets Peak at mid-day. They reported finding a large human-like footprint in very rough, rocky ground with widely spaced trees. The print was described as about the size of the relative's foot or larger.
Motorist confronted by hairy, man-like creature on roadside
The witness stopped a car by a wooded road to urinate. A hairy man-like creature approached to within three feet while snorting and grunting and holding a small limb-like object, then walked away. The witness fled in the car and saw the creature standing at the road edge in the rear-view mirror.
Scream causes man to turn and see large creature walking by
The witness was fishing in a lake when an eerie scream drew their attention. Turning, they saw a 7-foot-tall hairy figure about 47 yards away. The figure kept watching the witness while walking quickly away into the woods and out of sight.
Sasquatch sighting near Leroy Township, Ohio (1997)
Two brothers were playing in the yard before dinner when something jumped from a tree and ran bipedally into the woods at remarkable speed. It was seen only as a solid silhouette, described as bear-like but upright. The witness was in mid-teens at the time.
Wood knock in South Carolina (1997)
Five people set up tents near a river after finding campgrounds crowded and heard tree knocks from two directions. Branches and large limbs broke as something approached from opposite sides, a gun was fired, and a distant howl and a close roar were heard. The friend's father said something grabbed his hand and shirt, leaving a red mark and bruise, and the group fled by car.

While seated above pavement behind a loading dock, the witness watched a dark form spider-crawl toward him with outstretched arms low to the ground. When it moved left out of view he ran to look but it had vanished. He only years later linked it to described spider-crawl behavior.
Dogman sighting near Idaho Falls, Idaho (1997)
After dinner the witness walked a friend to her truck in a parking lot when a tall lanky creature with gray skin, sparse black fur, pointy ears and red eyes approached on two legs, then dropped to all fours by the truck. They got in, it leaped onto the hood rocking the truck, then leaped across the lot and over a fence as another truck with friends arrived.

The witness and a friend snuck into a small meadow to hunt elk the evening before season. A cow elk entered followed closely by a bipedal figure that tracked it into the timber without alerting it. The witnesses stayed hidden in fear until well after dark, and a friend later cast a footprint from the meadow.

While driving home from fishing in the afternoon, the witness saw a tall bipedal figure step onto the highway and cross it in three steps, then continue down a fire trail. Passengers in his own vehicle said they missed it, but several vehicles behind stopped and watched it with him. He ruled out bear based on familiarity with local wildlife.

The guest and a friend were fishing separate spots on the river when loud tree-snapping and thrashing started directly across the river. They could see slight movement in thick brush but could not see what it was. Frightened, they moved from the spot.
Scream near Wallowa, Oregon (1997)
The guest and his young son camped overnight above Wallowa while waiting for the guest's brother to join a deer hunt. After dark the woods went silent and they heard distant screams that grew closer over several hours, culminating in a loud scream from across the road. When they drove to leave, headlights revealed large hands parting small trees and the hairy top of a head watching them. The next day they followed flattened grass where the creature had walked but found no clear footprints.
Howl near Carnation (1997)
The caller was leading two troops at a cabin camp when she woke in the night with unease. She heard extremely loud howling unlike any known animal, along with rustling and shaking around the cabins. She checked the sleeping girls and prayed, finding the other leaders had slept through it. Years later a relative shared a purported sasquatch recording that she says matched the sound exactly.
Teens have brief sighting on snowbound road
Two companions were creeping in a Jeep along a snowy logging road when a creature leapt in front of the vehicle, paused facing them, then left the road. They got out and found fresh large footprints with distinct toes that were quickly filling with falling snow. After panic set in, one fired a pistol into the air and they discovered an ammunition box left on the hood had disappeared, then they drove out to the main road.
