Three people camped on an island area at Keystone Lake and heard repeated grunting and howl-like vocalizations after midnight. After two people kayaked back to the cars and two returned, the two in kayaks had two very large rocks land in the water near them as they approached shore in darkness. One had earlier seen green eyeshine near the campsite on the first return. Finding no other people on the island, they packed up and left during the night.

The witness and two companions were sitting in a drift boat on the river in the evening when they heard loud chimp-like screaming and wailing from dense brush on the opposite cliff. Two people driving over a mountain pass in daylight saw a large hairy biped running diagonally up a hillside toward forest cover. After losing sight of it, they stopped at a creek crossing a mile or two away and felt watched for about an hour before leaving.

Laser measurement later put the distance at 63 yards with 19-inch weathered prints, suggesting about 9.5 feet tall.

On the final night of a spring-break campout, the witness and a companion were in a tent getting ready to sleep when something approached. The visitor paced by a truck, then repeatedly pulled and released a tarp, touched the tent zippers and doors, and was briefly seen in moonlight as a hair-covered human-like figure. It then kicked the tent, walked into a clear-cut throwing large logs and grunting, leaving a foul odor, broken tie-downs, and displaced logs.

Later the pair moved to a second blind near a logging road and called for turkeys. The woods went silent and a very loud mid-pitched scream sounded from just behind them by the road. The witness left the blind and saw the same figure moving away through dense vegetation, breaking trees loudly, and both men left the area.

At sunrise the witness and his hunting partner glassed a replanted clearcut for turkeys. They heard a loud snap to the side and watched a tall dark figure move downhill away from them. The figure showed only head, shoulders and upper back above young trees and its steps produced audible thuds while moving in a smooth upright walk.

The witness was sleeping in the back of a pickup at a turkey camp when he woke suddenly with intense fear. He became convinced something was looking through the canopy window at him and aimed his pistol at the glass waiting for contact. After several minutes the feeling faded and he fell back asleep without hearing or seeing anything.

Two hunters crawled into a turkey blind around 5 a.m. and heard a loud high-pitched scream they did not recognize, followed by a huge crash like a tree falling. Frightened, they loaded their shotguns as fast as they could. They also found the roost trees empty of turkeys that had been present in large numbers a week earlier, which they considered highly unusual.
