After driving to a more open area across a shallow creek, the witness found two very large barefoot-like footprints that seemed too large and out of place to be human.

While traveling slowly near a church, she and the children noticed a large brown furry figure crouched by the roadside ditch with its back to the road. They did not stop and continued home. The witness was driving home in the morning and stopped at railroad tracks when he spotted a dark animal sitting about a thousand feet away. He observed it sitting on its haunches for about ten minutes. The animal then stood upright and walked north into the surrounding forest.

After about ten minutes, they heard vocalizations coming from three locations on the opposite ridge across a valley with a creek, apparently answering each other. The witness returned to the site of a large footprint found the previous day to take photographs. He banged sticks together for about ten minutes to try to provoke a response. Immediately after one knock he heard an extremely loud high-pitched scream or roar that frightened him. He ran down a steep brushy hill back to the house without looking back.

Over about 45 minutes they repeatedly noticed soft voice-like sounds, a strong rotten-egg odor, and soft thumping on or against the deck outside the window. Frogs fell silent during the episodes and resumed afterward. No sign was found when the area was checked the next day.

A woman driving in the morning stopped with several other motorists to watch a large sasquatch-like figure beside an abandoned trailer home. The figure was described as walking near the trailer and looking in a window. As the witness arrived, it walked across the road in front of the lead car, stepped over a barbed-wire fence, and went into the woods.
