Four companions were at a forest picnic camping area late at night and tried wood knocks after noticing eyeshine. Two companions left the vehicle with lights and encountered a very tall hair-covered figure that stepped from behind a tree, looked at them, then walked away slowly. After retreating to the vehicle, the group saw a brown shape crawling toward them and drove away quickly. A companion recorded video of the encounter on a phone.

The motion camera alerted to a pair of eyeshines behind a tree across the driveway that swayed back and forth and had not been present earlier. The witness texted the landlord while watching. When the landlord came outside the eyes disappeared immediately.

While at the mother's house late at night, the witness twice heard soft muffled tapping on the dining-room picture window while dozing. She photographed the window without looking, saw eyeshine low down, then turned off the light and recorded video showing lights moving higher on the window.

The witness sat alone on the back patio at night facing the woods and spoke aloud. Three figures approached from different directions with audible walking and breaking limbs. The witness shone a flashlight on the closest one, seeing a large squatting outline with widely spaced bright green eyeshine, then went inside and still heard movement an hour later.
Rock throwing in New York (2014)
Two visitors with a thermal camera joined the investigator and the homeowner after dark near the feeding fence. The group was pelted with rocks, heard branches snapping and saw large trees broken, saw eyeshine, and detected about five heat signatures. Two men reported being hit by something like infrasound, shaking and nauseous. The investigator accidentally shut the camera off when handed it.

On the night of Jan. 13, 2014, the witness spotlighted a distant field from home and saw red eye shine that reacted to the light. After retrieving a relative, the two drove to a pond with tall reeds about 300 yards away and again picked up eye shine high in the reeds. They watched the eyes blink and move low through a creek embankment from left to right, but could see no body because of distance. The witness recorded about a minute of phone video and estimated eye height the next day at 7.5 to 8 feet based on reed height.

Two people had been fishing at Caesar Creek Lake and were packing up after sundown when a growling/hissing sound came from the treeline. They shone a flashlight into the woods and saw green eyes, heard trees and brush thrashing as something moved, and smelled a strong scat-like stench. After watching about five minutes they gathered gear and walked back to the parking area feeling watched.

The witness hung meat, sweets, wind chimes and plastic ducks with cameras but never photographed the taker, finding chewed toys with straight human-like teeth marks. A porch camera later caught a translucent moving outline and a figure walking down deck steps. An investigator hiked with two companions to the top of a rocky ridge at night to look into recurring activity. While the companions scanned with night vision and a camcorder, the investigator illuminated a sasquatch-like figure standing close below the rocks with a headlamp and watched it withdraw and walk away. The companions recorded eyeshine in the opposite direction, suggesting a second animal, and the group heard footsteps following them as they descended. They later reviewed the tape and confirmed eyeshine had been recorded.
Youths see unknown hairy primate staring at them from distance
Six companions walking in riverside woods around 12:30 a.m. saw a large furry creature crouched behind a bush between two trees, holding a tree and peering at them. When they turned on a camera light they saw red eyeshine and fled in fear. The video did not capture the creature, and later daytime return visits found bones, fur, and a dead deer nearby.

They saw a tall hair-covered figure standing just beyond a six-foot fence staring at them. After a few seconds they ran back inside frightened. While setting out food one evening after a tree fell, the guest heard something large approach fast and saw two red eyes facing him. He recorded about five minutes as it looked at him and toward loud brush-tearing nearby, its eyes shifting color in the light. It later peeked from behind a tree about ten feet away before withdrawing. Next morning he found a track and a freshly split tree where it stood.

Alone up a river the witness followed a fresh game trail past a foul-smelling marked tree, then heard a loud scream below and movement above in thick jungle. He retreated into the creek as three creatures surrounded him, talking with clicks, showing dog-like eyeshine, and moving as shadows. In the last light one four-and-a-half to five-foot silhouette with long arms squatted at the water's edge staring before bolting when a laser pointer hit it, and he floated downstream to camp.

The guest says after his encounter two teammates returned to the same spot and had multiple rocks thrown at them. Video reportedly shows eyeshine appearing from behind a stump as a rock is thrown, striking one man with a scrape to the face.

While walking in the woods near rock piles and a large tree cross, the group took a phone photo that appeared to show two large glowing green balls above a ridge. Moments later a silent low triangle of lights hovered and moved slowly just above the treetops while the group reacted on video.

They were paralleled on both sides, heard whoops and powerful wood knocks and branches being ripped, then a large tree was pushed over close to them and they fled. The running camcorder captured the sounds and briefly illuminated two large almond-shaped red eyes that narrowed and turned away before the tree fell.

After setting recorders and cameras, the witness got a 20-minute recording of something walking around, touching, and repeatedly pulling a bungee-mounted recorder without damage. Game cameras captured possible high eyeshine and a night video where the background distorted as an unseen shape moved toward a tree stand.

On a chilly night around a bonfire the researcher scanned the treeline with a thermal camera. Review later showed heat suggesting two eyes in a woodpile gap and a hand appearing three times.
