The witness filmed an unclear figure near a work site in a remote forested area. The witness showed the tape to family, after which others in the community and media became aware of it. An investigator later viewed the full tape and described it as blurry and small in frame but showing additional movements.

The guest says after his encounter two teammates returned to the same spot and had multiple rocks thrown at them. Video reportedly shows eyeshine appearing from behind a stump as a rock is thrown, striking one man with a scrape to the face.
