The witness was left to walk up a long steep driveway at night after others drove ahead and heard heavy steps matching her own. Near a lit barn she saw a very tall shadow, ran, and felt it breathing over her head. Her dog intervened and was picked up and thrown over a pool, suffering severe tearing, and hairs not belonging to the dog were later found in its mouth.

A group of youths watching cattle from a hill saw the herd become anxious and flee a corner of the field. They went to the fencerow to investigate and found reddish hair on barbed wire and a small pine twisted and knocked over high up. After hearing movement, two of them saw a face with gray-white eyes and reddish hair about seven feet up near the broken tree and watched it for about two minutes before fleeing.

The witness and a relative had been target shooting and had returned to town when they heard an extremely loud scream from the woods they had just left, carrying across a large field. Late one spring night in 1979, the witness and a sibling were in bed in a downstairs bedroom when they saw a tall hairy figure looking in the window and then at the back door apparently trying to get inside. The animal stood, made a gesture, and walked into the forest. As they descended toward the creek they heard noise and saw a bear with a cub feeding nearby, leaving the witness unsure what was seen.

In moonlight they saw a tall dark hairy figure with orange eyes and long arms approaching quickly, prompting them to flee by boat to camp and then leave the area by vehicle.

They walked to the spot after the figures left and found a heap of branches resembling a bed, with some branches torn from trees high off the ground. The witness noted an absence of claw marks or bear prints and questioned how the branches could have been placed without tools.
