A laborer picking berries was attacked by a hairy giant called Bosco that clawed his throat and struck him with a 25-pound window weight. Witnesses, tracks, bitten trees, eaten dog remains, and asphalt footprints were reported. The creature was seen swimming, eating fish, and peering into buildings.

In the morning they found spaced impressions leading from the tree line to both bedrooms and around the house, a river stone atop the high window unit, and a large forearm-shaped hair impression above garbage.

The next day the team returned to the night site to look for sign. They found toe and heel impressions measured at 15.6 inches, spaced several feet apart and heading back toward the creek. The trail led to the tree where the thermal figure had been, with prints around it suggesting something had stood and watched.

Driving home at night after a Fourth of July visit, the witness first saw a tall figure cross the highway and then pass within 8 to 12 feet as it pushed a branch aside under a vapor light. He braked hard, stalled, and left without approaching. Next day he and his sister-in-law measured the branch at 10 feet at the jaw and followed heel-drag scuffs and heel prints toward dark timber.
