Two companions walking along a wooded driveway in the afternoon heard unidentified tapping sounds and entered the woods to investigate. They found freshly matted grass and a human-like bare footprint with five toes in dried mud. Shortly after, the companion shouted to run as loud timber-breaking crashes and movement occurred in dense undergrowth behind him. The reporter did not see the source, but the companion reportedly saw something about seven feet tall, after which both fled to the driveway.

In the late 1970s in December, the witness's friend found a short line of very large barefoot humanlike tracks in mud along a strip-mine pond while running traps. The prints showed five toes and a stride the finder said was too great for him to match. On a clear November mid-afternoon in 1964, several children and later their mother watched a distant upright black figure standing in a harvested corn field. The children shouted at it, it appeared to turn toward them then away, and a dog chased after it out of view. The mother, frightened, brought the children inside. Decades later the witness still interprets the figure as a bigfoot.
Memory told of possible vocalizations and footprints found near Atwood
On a winter evening around 10 p.m., the witness opened the door to let a dog out and heard an immense scream-howl from just north of the house. The sound felt like a physical impact and frightened the dog so it would not go outside. The witness's mother also heard the vocalization from inside the house.
Mushroom hunters find series of large footprints near Ste. Marie
The witness and a companion were mushroom hunting when they found about ten barefoot-like prints crossing a muddy stretch of a mostly dry creek. The prints appeared to enter from water on one side and exit into water on the other, heading east toward a nearby river. The witness felt no barefoot person should have been in that remote bottoms area and no photos were taken before rain.
Tracks in Illinois
After a severe December 2015 flood the witness stayed in town while a farmhand stayed on higher ground. The farmhand reported seeing the creature crossing a pasture near the house. When the witness returned after snow, she and the farmhand found large footprints circling the house and pausing at windows.
