Mountain runner spots large, deep footprints on Stuart Fork Trail in Trinity Alps
The witness was hiking and running on the Stuart Fork Trail where it enters Morris Meadows when he noticed about a dozen large footprints beside the trail. The prints were estimated at about 15 inches long and over four feet apart and appeared much deeper than nearby boot prints, with debris pressed into them. The witness photographed the prints but noted the trail gets heavy use, suggested a prank or overlapping boot prints as likely, and stated he does not believe in Bigfoot.
Deer hunter finds possible footprints on Mt. Breckenridge
While deer hunting with a relative in hilly terrain, the witness became lost and crossed a ravine onto another game trail. There the witness found several large human-like footprints pressed deeply into the trail leading downhill until the ground became too rough to follow. The witness also noted unusually little animal activity in the area.

The witness and a companion were walking dogs along Redwood Creek in the afternoon and waded across to examine sandbars on the south bank. A short distance upstream they found three large footprints that appeared to enter the water. The clearest print was long and narrow with five toes and no arch, measured at about 14.5 inches with about a 4-foot stride, and no clear exit trail was located.

The witness was scouting an area southwest of Louse Camp near Bluff Creek in the morning and found a single large footprint in an old mud puddle, which they recorded on video. They also reported finding twisted and broken tree limbs nearby and submitted photos of the damage, described as occurring where machine cause was unlikely.

The witness visited a relative's house after a goose was found dead with a broken neck, punctures, and missing insides. She also reports finding a four-toed footprint, flattened weeds suggesting something had lain down and walked through, and damage to a chicken-coop roof. The night had been unusually quiet and livestock were nervous the next morning.

The witness was driving slowly looking for a fishing spot in mid-afternoon when an animal crossed the road almost in front of the truck. He saw only its back, one arm, and coned head for a few seconds before it disappeared into riverside foliage. After turning around he found a couple of large footprints with a long stride. He described the animal as over seven feet tall, heavily built, with long muscular arms and no visible neck.

Late at night the witness noticed the apple tree at the far corner of the yard shaking violently. After a brief check with a night-vision scope that revealed nothing, the witness looked again and saw the upper portion of a tall, hairy, human-like figure walking toward the creek past tall berry bushes. The figure was backlit by a neighboring porch light, showing a large rounded head on very large rounded shoulders with little neck.

The witness was taking a dog outside at night and felt watched after the dog stared and growled. After shining a flashlight in that direction, the witness saw two hairy bipedal figures cross a fence and then ran inside. Relatives then went outside, reportedly saw the larger figure up close, noticed odor and sounds, and the group found large tracks the next day.

Two workers covering illegal OHV trails found unusually large human-like footprints near a meadow during lunch and photographed one. The prints were measured and noted to follow a fence line. Later the same day at another meadow area they found the same type of prints crossing a trail toward rock outcroppings, after which they left the area.

A family staying at a remote pack station heard a high-pitched whooping call for many minutes that seemed to approach and then pass toward a wilderness trail. The daughter went to the access road to meet the caller and saw a large, hair-covered, unclothed being with a long beard, long arms and a big mouth walking quickly past. She said it did not see her and was not vocalizing when seen. The next morning the family found a few possible wide-toed prints in the dust at the spot she indicated.

The witness was riding an ATV with her husband on a forest road and stopped alone to wait for him. She reported a very strong foul odor, a feeling of being watched, and hearing a branch break. Two companions were hunting deer on a family property near Pine Mountain when they found a footprint and other tracks near a pine overhang, noticed a localized strong skunk-like odor, and saw a pile of fresh acorns with no oak nearby. As they moved uphill using alternating advances, each heard an unrecognized whistle and the sound of a large boulder rolling, with neither attributing the sounds to the other. Both reported a feeling of being followed uphill.

Two forestry technicians stopped for lunch at Onion Lake while closing seasonal gates. During a walk around the lake, the witness found tracks coming out of the shallow water and going into the forest. They counted over a dozen identifiable tracks with deep impressions and long strides, and saw no other human footprints. The witness and a relative were camping overnight when they heard a loud whooping sound nearby followed by loud crunching like branches breaking. A girl was heard screaming after the whooping. In the morning they found large footprints near their tent measuring about 12 to 16 inches long, which they felt were too large for a bear.

A witness hiking on snowshoes along a gated forest road in fresh snow found six large prints crossing the road. He photographed the prints and measured them with a ski pole, noting a straight-line trackway with a long stride and no other footprints nearby. He did not leave the road to follow the trail, and the prints were melting rapidly when he passed again about an hour later.
