The witness was walking dogs on paths in the woods at dusk when the dogs became alert and a strange kaw-kaw call was heard. The witness then saw a gray, medium-build, roughly seven-foot-tall figure with shiny blue eyes and bent arms that looked at them, shuffled its feet, and turned into the woods toward a ridge. The witness left with the dogs and later reported finding a partial footprint.

Two companions camped while hunting for five days near Dillon State Park. On successive nights they heard tree knocks from multiple directions, whistles, whoops, loud yells and screams that approached the camp, growling near the camper, and banging on vehicles in a nearby junkyard. By day they found numerous large human-like footprints in a shallow spillway and on a sandy bank, which they photographed with boots for scale. They reported no visual sighting but concluded the sounds and tracks were from a large, athletic creature.

The witness and a companion camped beside a strip pond after fishing and cooking. Around 4 a.m. the witness awoke to heavy footsteps coming down a steep high wall to the tent, followed by heavy breathing and a throat-clear that mimicked his own. He shouted that he had a gun while his companion remained asleep, then heard the visitor drink from the water with its hands, sit briefly by the tent, and climb back up. The next morning they found 18-inch tracks at the edge of the reeds.

A group hiking in Salt Fork State Park in the evening reported footprints, grunts and glimpsed movement. The main witness waited ahead with two younger companions and reported seeing a tall hairy biped peeking from behind a tree and then from behind a rock. Woken by crashing and the dog barking, the witness heard a juvenile on the porch beating the deck and plucking the air conditioner while an adult gave gibberish instructions and the juvenile answered with tongue clicks. Then something wailed on the dog box. In the morning he found a twisted tree, shredded sapling and tracks and made a cast. With a flashlight he saw something large and black moving up the hill.
