Motorist sighting at night approx 2 miles from NY/VT state line outside Whitehall
Late at night while driving to help a friend, the witness saw what first looked like logs on the roadside. On closer approach it appeared as a dark hair-covered figure seen from behind, which stepped easily over a roadside railing and went down into the woods toward power lines. The next day footprints at the spot were cast during a site visit with a local researcher.

The witness and a companion spent three days fishing and camping at a remote lake. On calm nights trees fell near camp, and each dawn they heard rhythmic wood-on-wood pounding for nearly an hour. They saw a dark partial figure behind a lakeshore pine, heard a long piercing scream with fast hillside movement, heard distant talk-like sounds and short screams, and found a single large human-like footprint in mud on the way out. They also saw an orange light over the lake that split into smaller lights, followed later by jets overhead.

The witness and a companion were camped overnight in a shelter when the witness heard movement circling the camp, popping-like impacts and growls. The witness briefly saw a large dark shape among trees that was gone on second look. After investigating, the pair heard a heavy bipedal approach pass close behind camp, prompting them to leave for the cabin. The next day the witness found a large footprint and a freshly fallen tree.

The witness and his wife were lying awake in a lakeside cabin at night when his wife repeatedly said a raccoon was looking in a small rear window. After several minutes he rolled over quickly and saw a dark-faced, brown-furred creature with a large conical head peering in, which left within seconds. The next morning he found a single large heel/footprint about eight inches wide in mud by a small stream behind the cabin.

Two friends were staying overnight in a cabin by a creek when late at night someone tried the locked door and did not answer. A tall shape then appeared at the side window, and they remained huddled inside without sleep until morning. Next morning they found barefoot-like prints with a wide stride going up a steep embankment near the creek.
