He searched the spot and found wet marks on rocks, disturbed soil, and dung, which companions helped videotape. He concluded the figure was unlikely to be human given the remote, rugged terrain.

The family continued uphill without further sound or sighting and later reported the encounter to park staff.

Five people sleeping in an RV in a campground awoke when the dog barked and saw a large hairy figure about 10 feet away. The figure looked toward the RV then left with a human-like jog in long strides amid grunting sounds and a strong odor. The next morning the group found huge footprints outside.

After months of rabbits and chickens disappearing from locked hutches without feathers or remains, the witness went to feed animals after fresh snow. He found open doors and human-like footprints leading to the tree line and felt watched. The family later moved cages closer to the house and continued to occasionally hear loud screams from the woods.

Four relatives drove to the Mt. St. Helens area to look for Bigfoot in poor winter weather. From a viewpoint, a relative using a spotting scope watched a large dark upright figure move across a distant meadow and later return with a smaller figure first mistaken for a stump. The group searched the area without regaining visual contact. Shortly afterward at a nearby creek, the driver found a large bare footprint in mud and made a plaster cast of it.
Recollection of possible encounters at a cemetery in the village of Cuba
Late at night four friends walking past a graveyard noticed a very large object resting on a branch in a large tree. After they shone a flashlight at it, the object dropped about twenty feet and ran quickly toward woods behind the graveyard. The witness returned at sunrise and found very large impressions in the grass with a stride neither he nor a taller companion could match, leading him to estimate the creature at seven to nine feet tall.

On July 16, 1997, a tour guide driving tourists along a road stopped near a burned-out bridge and watched an upright, hair-covered creature for about 15 minutes from 70 to 80 yards away. The guide moved the bus forward and backward to give passengers views and tried to get a passenger with a telephoto lens to exit for photos, but no one would leave. The guide then drove away and could not relocate the creature on a later return.

The father saw a brown, long-haired biped from the shoulders down standing in old cuttings, which grabbed a tree and swung behind it to keep the tree between them. The son reported hearing a high-pitched scream and grunting that the father could not hear. They searched the spot but found no sign, noting an unusual absence of deer and elk sign.

While loading the vehicle to leave, one witness saw a tall brown human-like figure stand up about 15 feet away and walk toward the river. About two decades ago a woman washing dishes at night saw a large hairy-faced man looking through the window above her sink. Police were called and during the subsequent search an officer saw a tall man-like figure run across a highway. Very large tracks with a long stride were found but dogs could not track anything and the figure vanished into river bottoms. A later visitor examined a cast and said weight distribution argued against a fake shoe.

The witness arrived before dawn to hunt deer from a tree stand on a wooded base. Around sunrise a small black furry animal about three feet tall near the tree stood up on two legs, then dropped to all fours and ran toward cover, disappearing silently. The witness left the area without examining the ground and later interpreted the animal as a young Sasquatch.
Brief daylight sighting by hunter near Silver Creek Falls State Park
While hunting, the witness saw an elk flee followed by a large dark-brownish animal running about 50 feet beyond it at roughly 300 feet distance, observed briefly through a rifle scope. The witness later found bent grass and a single partial footprint with three toes at the base of an old tree where the animal had run. Three nearby hunters said they saw nothing.

While jogging through mesquite bottomland at sunset to check a satellite target, the guest and a companion spotted a black figure on a distant ridge. The guest filmed it at high zoom, noting symmetrical shape and lighter chest, then left to stay on schedule. About two weeks later with landowner permission he relocated the standing spot and found large tracks in hard ground.

The witness saw a large hairy bipedal figure moving from tree to tree, appearing to approach while staying behind cover. The witness was walking uphill near Hunter Creek and climbing over a large fallen tree when they saw an entity stooped behind another fallen trunk about 30 feet away watching them. After a few seconds of staring, the entity turned and disappeared behind the tree. The witness then found several prints in the forest debris and followed them uphill briefly before losing them.

Something ahead screamed and howled, and a flashlight revealed eye reflections several feet off the ground.
