The witness and his son were driving very slowly at night on a remote jeep trail in drizzling rain when their truck lights illuminated a large hair-covered figure standing motionless by the roadside. They watched it for about ten seconds as they passed within about ten to fifteen feet, noting mop-like hair, a distinct triangular nose, and very large biceps. The driver kept going out of fear and later returned to find a footprint at the spot with no stumps nearby.

Early one morning the witness found the dogs under the house barking toward the back, then saw a big tall hairy entity with red eyes looking at them through the back window. Late at night while driving on a dirt service road for utility work, the witness saw a tall, thin brown-haired creature step into the headlights and cross the road at an angle. The witness watched for about 15 seconds as it took a few long strides between juniper trees before disappearing. After driving away in fear, the witness returned the next day with a co-worker and found widely spaced footprints leading east.

The witness was riding as a passenger in a truck in the evening when they noticed a large hair-covered biped about 60 yards from the highway. The animal walked on two legs with long strides and swinging arms while its face was turned toward the witness. The driver did not stop, and the group returned the next morning to videotape the area and cast a track.

In March 1997, two sisters driving to their mother's house encountered a large hairy figure sitting beside a dirt road. When headlights illuminated it, the figure stood to seven feet or taller and then moved toward the river. The witnesses were frightened and said it was neither a bear nor a human.

The guest's oldest son went out to a trailer to wash up and heard something by the tractor behind the house. He saw a very tall half-man half-horse standing as tall as the tractor canopy. It jumped the fence and ran toward the river sounding like a horse, and huge horseshoe-like prints were later found.
