On a Sunday morning the older witness opened windows while cooking and later noticed two large fresh hoof-like marks side by side in wet mud outside the window about four feet apart. There were no other tracks, and the impressions looked deep as if made by something heavy.

The witness and a friend were quail hunting on the family property and heard steps following them through dense woods. After crossing a fence they watched a tall hairy biped step over the fence and move between trees to watch them before heading toward a creek. About an hour later the witness returned with older female relatives and saw a different-colored hairy leg and foot watching them from behind trees near the road.

While documenting activity on the ranch property, the guest's team found a trackway that appeared to change from human footprints to horse hoofprints. The impressions were unusually deep, suggesting great weight throughout. Local Native consultants later associated the sign with skinwalker activity.

At the base of the tree in murky water they saw a large heel-shaped depression with skin-line detail. They first suspected the grandfather had taken the rod as a prank, but he denied it.

In winter the guest walked through a cleared deer plot in the ravine area. In a muddy thawed patch he found a fresh bare footprint about four to five inches long. He reasoned no child would be barefoot there in winter and took it to suggest a family group.

On later return visits the guest tried wood knocking and got responses. He found partly washed-out 16-18 inch footprints inside the barn and, while hiking, noticed possible nests or bedding areas and tree breaks throughout the woods.

Earlier in the same season the group was camped overnight in a basin while elk hunting. Something circled the camp at night and frightened guard dogs that normally showed no fear. The next day the men followed large barefoot tracks with very long strides and a damaged toe from behind the camp to a canyon.

Guiding a night group, the guest used a thermal and saw a large figure step from behind a pine about 100 yards away, then a second smaller one peeking. They watched 15 minutes until the battery died, heard movement, screaming and chatter for hours, and next morning found scat and hundreds of footprints over their tracks.

The witness's father and two companions were cooking steaks at a deer camp after dark when something approached loudly, yelled and screamed aggressively, ripped branches and felled a pine tree near them. They abandoned gear except guns and drove away, returning days later with more people to find the camp destroyed, tent shredded, fire grate bent, rocks scattered, and large tracks throughout.

On a third visit the witness saw a black juvenile-like Sasquatch under 50 feet away that vanished when he turned for his camera. His partner then saw it waist-up behind dirt, they found fresh fingerprints, a teammate saw it spider-crawl into the pipeline, and all three watched a larger one run across the pipeline on all fours.

A neighbor's son and buddies riding four-wheelers at night under a full moon looked up a hill and saw a very tall hairy beast looking down. They also saw prints and tracks. The mother contacted the witness, who visited with friends for a night investigation and noted activity.

Woken by crashing and the dog barking, the witness heard a juvenile on the porch beating the deck and plucking the air conditioner while an adult gave gibberish instructions and the juvenile answered with tongue clicks. Then something wailed on the dog box. In the morning he found a twisted tree, shredded sapling and tracks and made a cast. With a flashlight he saw something large and black moving up the hill.

The witness's son, in football uniform, went to put his beagle away and heard a crash from the hill. An 8-foot creature stared him down from six feet away, then ran off after a loud tree knock. The son also saw a second shorter creature with red eyes over the ravine, then ran inside.

A group member investigating a large private property at night left companions to check a trail by a creek with night vision. He lowered the camera and saw a large mass that peered from behind cover, then returned with lights to find a footprint on the bank and limbs twisted high to clear a view.
Odor in Oregon
The guest and three companions camped several days in remote central Oregon to look into Bigfoot. They smelled a skunky BO odor, felt something brush tents, found large and human-sized barefoot prints, heard human-like grunts, found torn branches and an uprooted tree, had apples taken from high up with sticker skin peeled, and saw a bulky dark figure at the treeline captured as a blurry night-vision still. They left early due to bad weather.

The two hikers describe finding a large partial footprint while off trail along a river about a year before the main night encounter. Only the front half with visible toes was preserved. They questioned why anyone would hoax a print so far from maintained trails.
