Family finds large footprint, and hears unusual sounds
When the witness was about seven, the family found very large footprints on a Lake Superior beach. While leaving through the woods toward the car they heard loud screeching and something large jumping nearby without being seen. They left quickly in the car, with the witness feeling the source was too big to be people.
Man recounts boyhood experience of hearing a terrifying scream while hunting near the San Pedro River
The witness, then a child, was hunting with the witness's father and a companion along a river when a very loud single scream lasting several seconds stopped the group and frightened them. The older hunters reportedly had never heard a similar animal sound. As the group left the area, the companion reported movement in nearby trees and large footprints in the river sand.

While throwing a football alone at night, the witness noticed a small head with pointed ears peeking from behind tall hedge bushes and threw the ball toward it after it repeatedly ducked. Later that same night while sleeping near a low bedroom window, a much larger hairy face appeared at the glass, made eye contact, shifted its eyes, wrinkled its brow and opened a wide mouth showing pointed teeth. The witness fled to a parent's room while heavy pacing was felt and heard around the house, then police were called but found nothing. The next morning the witness found large prints around windows and garden, recalled repeated early-morning howls, a growl with a branch breaking, grunting in the basement and a violently shaking backyard tree.

During summer 1965 the witness was exploring woods near military housing when he found very large barefoot prints in red clay leading into the trees. While on a trail he heard heavy bipedal footsteps that appeared to follow him, stopping when he stopped and rushing toward him, causing him to flee to the housing area. He returned with a friend and both heard the same following footsteps rush toward them before fleeing, with the friend reporting an indistinct large movement in the brush.
Family in small boat hears animal retreating and finds prints
In 1963 the witness hiked with family members to Teddy Lakes to fish. While rowing around an island they heard splashing and then found a line of very large, deep, human-like footprints in shallow mud where an animal had exited the water. Neither the witness, then a youth experienced with tracks, nor his expert-tracker grandfather could identify the maker, and the trail was lost in forest litter.
Night time sighting near a secluded forest home outside Wesleyville
One evening around dusk the witness sat locked out on the front porch of the parents' wooded house. A very large hair-covered biped approached to about 40-50 yards, paused and stared with glowing red eyes for about half a minute, then ran away rapidly breaking branches. The next morning large footprints were found in wet driveway dirt but were washed away by rain before they could be photographed.

The witness reports recurring nighttime activity over many years at her parents' wooded property. She and others hear footsteps pacing them along the tree line, loud crashing movement, screeching sounds and cracking noises, often accompanied by a strange smell. Family members and visitors have also reported red eyeshine and ape-like figures, and large footprints were found in snow. An investigator later visited, interviewed family members and noted unusual stick and vegetation features in the woods.

While mushroom hunting with his mother the witness crossed a creek and found a single tiny human-like footprint in a wash. No other prints appeared after extended tracking, while crashing sounds moved away through woods, which he interpreted as something carrying off a young one.
Vocalization in Indiana
At the current home, the witness regularly hears indistinct mumbling like distant talking near the fields around dusk, especially when corn is planted. With binoculars she sees things moving in and out of the tree line, and finds many footprints in the fields.
Wood knock in Ontario
The witness describes a fall investigation in a remote forest north of the city. A prior night vigil yielded stomps, calls, knocks and sounds of something circling camp. Follow-up reconnaissance found sharpened sticks staked across a game trail, tracks along a nearby river, and a very tall teepee structure the next day.
Movement only near Lake Quinault, Washington
Two visiting campers slept in the backyard after leaving gifts including plums. Around two in the morning one unzipping the tent heard something massive right outside that ran past with enough force to shake the tent and fled into the forest, waking the other. Morning showed most gifts gone except one plum and impressions around the tent.
Tracks near Vancouver, Washington
At about age 12 the witness found a gigantic bare footprint in a mud slick by an irrigated lettuce field. He tried to mimic it with his own foot and could not. Feeling watched and seeing a shadow move behind trees after branch snaps, he ran home.
Sasquatch sighting
Guiding a night group, the guest used a thermal and saw a large figure step from behind a pine about 100 yards away, then a second smaller one peeking. They watched 15 minutes until the battery died, heard movement, screaming and chatter for hours, and next morning found scat and hundreds of footprints over their tracks.
Tracks near Eureka Springs, Arkansas
After moving to a remote wooded property, the family found a very clear large human-like footprint with toes that was photographed with a tape measure. On separate occasions the child experienced a rock thrown past him near a creek, faint whooping, small trees moving together, a high scream-like whoop followed by a tree being pushed over, and the adults heard trees breaking and splashing into a pond. Dogs that normally chase sounds fled back to the house during these events.

The witness was scouting remote mountain roads for fishing access when he found a newly placed stacked rock pile blocking the road. After stopping to inspect it, he heard something charge down the steep slope toward him and stop when he drew his pistol, then parallel him back to his vehicle unseen. He returned later with a hunting partner and heard coordinated whoops from multiple positions, and a few days later with a larger group found extensive tree damage, possible structures, and three sizes of bare human-like tracks.

The witness and a companion were fishing at night under a river bridge when they found a fresh human-like track in the mud. They then heard loud roars ending in screams, heavy movement and thudding from across the river, had rocks thrown toward them, and heard splashing and grunting as they left. At the truck they found river mud spattered on the vehicle with a strong foul odor.
Movement only in Oklahoma
The guest, his wife and her brother were driving home with food when the guest and his brother-in-law saw a large dark figure cross an opening by a gate. The two men grabbed a rifle, followed on foot to a line of cedar and bow-dart trees, and watched it drop down a creek bank without crossing to the other side. They found a large twisted heel-weighted impression in soft wet ground much larger than the guest's boot.

The witness returned with a friend and camped, heard footsteps by the tent at night, then walked alone across the creek on a foggy morning. He found a footprint, droppings and a dead smell, listened to heavy breathing behind a thicket for hours, heard a vocalization and a stick hitting a tree, then saw a head peering from behind a large pine. He viewed it through his rifle scope, saw teeth, then walked toward the trail as it left on two legs, and it paralleled him back toward camp.
Movement only in Pennsylvania
The guest says he and a friend were walking in a valley in Pennsylvania when they heard rustling and movement. The friend reportedly saw something move quickly up a hillside while the guest saw nothing himself. They later found unclear footprints in snow and took photos to compare sizes.
Wood knock in New York
The witness kayaked into a remote river area in the Adirondacks to fish and camp alone. On two consecutive nights he heard loud rapid tree knocks followed by prolonged crashing, pacing and movement around his tent. On the second night the activity escalated and he heard powerful lion-like roars and screams from about 50 feet away that left him terrified. In the morning he found a large human-like footprint about 15 inches long near his kayak and left the area.
