Around 2 a.m. on a clear night in late October, the witness heard growls and other noises outside his home and went out with a flashlight to investigate. He reported a strong dead-animal odor, movement across the road, and green eyeshine, then watched a tall dark bipedal animal cross the road into his woods and viewed it at close range in the treeline before retreating to the house. He reported hearing noises through the rest of the night and finding a few tracks afterward.

The witness claims a tall creature stood up, growled, and trees fell as the group fled to their truck, then saw the creature walking in front of the gravel road watching them. No blood was found, only partial tracks, and a conservation officer told them to keep quiet.

Two companions camped while hunting for five days near Dillon State Park. On successive nights they heard tree knocks from multiple directions, whistles, whoops, loud yells and screams that approached the camp, growling near the camper, and banging on vehicles in a nearby junkyard. By day they found numerous large human-like footprints in a shallow spillway and on a sandy bank, which they photographed with boots for scale. They reported no visual sighting but concluded the sounds and tracks were from a large, athletic creature.

The witness later went outside with a flashlight and saw a single glowing red eye high in the treeline. In the morning stacked rocks were gone, footprints were found, and a large pine by the carcass had been pushed over.

A family of four driving through Geneva State Park in daylight stopped after noticing a large dark bipedal figure moving through snowy woods. The figure was watched briefly for about ten seconds before disappearing. Shortly after from a nearby parking lot the adults made whoop calls and heard replies described as whoops, a scream or growl, and wood knocks, while also noticing a strong unpleasant odor.

After hearing heavy metal banging for several nights, the witness ran armed from his fifth-wheel to a 30x40 foot excavation pit. He confronted two 8-9 foot hair-covered beings on the far side and a 4-foot juvenile trapped in the 12-foot hole, while a 10-11 foot individual flanked near his truck. After a scream-roar and standoff where he lowered his aim off the juvenile, the adults retrieved the juvenile and withdrew silently to the treeline. He packed up, later had researchers trespass after his cousin told them, filled the hole, and sold the property.

A couple at their rural wooded home heard loud long guttural man-like yells almost nightly for several weeks in March 2012, usually around dusk. On March 31 the sounds seemed very close past the fence and suggested two individuals yelling, and on another night a growl from the same area frightened livestock.
